A father waits in the emergency room; a clock ticks in the background; the sounds of the television are left unheard; sweat courses down Pedro Ramos face as he anticipates the birth of his second son. Then the unthinkable. His wife, his lover, their mother has died during childbirth. Pedro Ramos must carry on with his two sons, Jade and Cruzalone. As life continues and those two sons mature, they take separate paths while remaining as an indestructible family unit of three. Jade goes into the underground to support the family, helping his ailing father and his younger brother Cruz afford the education he always wanted. But neither Pedro nor Cruz know what Jade has locked his life into. Jade is the ultimate fighter who risks his life every day to recover anything the boss wants. In the past, Jade fought his way through the ranks to earn his keep but left that particular field of the underground behind. That is, until the boss decides that Jade must fight again. Jade refuses, knowing this underground world is not for him anymore. Cruz has grown and is mature and holds a good job as a doctor. Now that Jade does not have to guide him anymore, he wants his chance at that kind of life too. But the time for dreams and desires are cut short for Jade. The boss puts a hit on Jade, who is inevitably murdered in broad daylight, falling into Cruzs arms as the gunshots riddle his body. Traumatized by this event, Pedro suffers a heart attack and Cruz ultimately becomes the man he never dreamt he would turn out to be. Cruz, bent on revenge, infiltrates the underground in search of his brothers killer. As Cruz takes on a different life, he finds that Jade never told anyone he had family as a safety net in order to protect them. As Cruz weaves deeper and deeper into Jades life, he falls in love with Jades best friend Emma, who looks after him as best as she can. But Cruzs mission never stops. He wants revenge and he wants it now....
