Benton Cabot ( Niles Welch ) a city born fellow, has inherited a mountain farm, and he soon finds out he is unable to take care of the place by himself. He soon takes a job on a neighboring farm, Stork's Nest, which is managed by Bije Stork ( Charles Prince ) and Si Stork ( William Cowper ). Bije is smitten with young naive Emmy Garrett ( Mary Miles Minter ) and he defends his "territory" against Benton, who is also taken with the pretty mountain girl. Bije ridicules Benton's city ways, and Emmy laughs at his mockery, but she begins to feel guilty and writes Benton a note requesting a visit. Bije impedes the letter, while Emmy waits for a reply, she is shocked when Benton shows up at her house, the angry girl throws him out into a storm. Beaten by the storm and tossed into a swollen river, Benton is saved from drowning by Emmy. Certain that Benton is not in love with her, she leaves with Bije, who is now wanted by the police for counterfeiting. Benton pursues the couple, saves Emmy and aids in Bije's capture.

This drama silent was filmed on location in Delaware , for Columbia Pictures Corporation in 1915. This was Mary Miles Minter's fourth film and now sadly remains lost.
