Women in Film: Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, and dozens of movie actresses in curious morphing montage A few dozen top international female movie stars, most of them Hollywood celebrities, are seen in the Women in Film morphing montage below created by Philip Scott Johnson. The faces belong to actresses from the 1910s to the early 21st century. (Image: The ‘Daughter’ of Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner — who sort of looks like a cross between Eleanor Parker and Cyd Charisse as well — in the Women in Film morphing montage.) Just as interesting as trying to identify each of the famous faces is stopping the video while the morphing is going on, so you get Daughter of Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner, or Daughter of Audrey Hepburn and Dorothy Dandridge, or Daughter of Michelle Pfeiffer and Sigourney Weaver. Some of those Daughters are quite pretty; others look like they’ve just landed on this planet.

The Twenties were an incredible decade which saw political scandal, decadent fashions, a rise in illegal gambling and the birth of the speakeasy. While it may not be the ideal time period in which to live, we’re most certainly loving living it vicariously through the HBO phenomenon that is Boardwalk Empire.
To celebrate the Blu-ray and DVD release of the second season, the fine folks at Premier PR held a 1920s Grooming Event at Tommy Guns salon on Regent Street. Ladies were treated to makeovers and hair styling while the men received hair-cuts and a shave to gain that unmistakeably distinguished 1920s look.
My favourite feature of the night (other than the man serving delectable canapés leading me to intermittently pounce on him all evening like a grizzly bear on a salmon) was Diy cocktail bar. Here you could mix your own Cutty Buck cocktail containing Cutty Sark whisky...

The art of the glass shot or matte painting is one which originated very much in the early ‘teens’ of the silent era. Pioneer film maker, director, cameraman and visual effects inventor Norman Dawn is generally acknowledged as the father of the painted matte composite, with other visionary film makers such as Ferdinand Pinney Earle, Walter Hall and Walter Percy Day being heralded as making vast contributions to the trick process in the early 1920’s.
Boiled down, the matte process is one whereby a limited film set may be extended to whatever, or wherever the director’s imagination dictates with the employment of a matte artist. In it’s most pure form, the artist would set up a large plate of clear glass in front of the motion picture camera upon which he would carefully paint in new scenery an ornate period ceiling, snow capped mountains, a Gothic castle or even an alien world.

Beyoncé truly is the Queen B. She has been voted People's World's Most Beautiful Woman in the magazine's latest issue, which celebrates all things beautiful. And these days she says the thing that makes her feel most beautiful is her baby girl, Blue Ivy.
"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," Beyoncé told the magazine. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."
Beyoncé continues to gush about her baby girl, saying, "She's just the cutest thing," adding that she makes up songs to sing just to Blue Ivy. When asked which of her parents the baby resembles more, B responded, "She looks like Blue.

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - After canceling her spring and summer tour due to a bout with laryngitis, Adele has rescheduled the North American dates in support of her latest album "21."
The tour was canceled earlier this month when she met with an otolaryngology specialist who said she'd have to undergo total voice rest and forego her U.S. dates.
"I'm really frustrated. I was hoping with a week's rest I'd be better to sing again straight away," Adele said in a statement at the time. "However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor's advice and rest some more. I'm so sorry. See you soon, love Adele."
The British songstress hasn't just reshuffled the dates, she's also added new ones, including six newly added stops on the track in Las Vegas, Nv, Atlantic City, NJ, Durham, Nc, Orlando, Fl, Miami, Fl, and Spring,...
