Some racism but it's never encouraged and often Ricky is the smartest and most successful in the room and his English is much better than Lucy's Spanish

Lucy and Ricky smoke cigarettes occasionally. Infrequent and very mild drinking, but this is just at parties and things. Nobody gets drunk, with one exception (see below).
In a famous episode, "Lucy Does a TV Commercial" (Season 1, Episode 30), Lucy becomes increasingly intoxicated from consuming a bottle of health tonic with high alcohol content. Played purely for comedic effect.
