Produced in Paris and, despite the all-British cast, not shown in Britain until 2006, when it appeared on the satellite/cable channel Bonanza.
After the portrayal by Nigel Bruce of Dr. Watson as a lovable buffoon, Howard Marion-Crawford was quite eager, and one of the first, to portray him as a much more competent companion to Holmes.
The theme music occurs in two different arrangements, one piano-led, and the other a full orchestral version.
The series doesn't include the housekeeper Mrs. Hudson.
