Continuity
After Mr. Roat gets the news his wife is dead he gasps then drops the phone receiver, rushing out and never returning it to the cradle. Mike and Suzie never hang it up and yet they never hear that awful 'off the hook' wail.
While Carlino 'investigates' at Susy's apartment, the blinds change between opened and closed in a few shots.
As he walks through the airport terminal, how far Sam's bag is unzipped changes between shots.
Susy smashes out her light bulbs, but in later sequences, there are no traces of broken glass anywhere on the floor.
After Sam leaves the apartment and gets splashed by the cab, the camera pans across the street, when the camera pans back to the curb, the large puddle that caused the splash is practically gone.
The cabinet door where the trash is held changes positions when Susy finds out Mike's involvement with Roat.
The telephone number that Susy reads in braille is not even a number. The braille symbols are gibberish and actually read: "shchsting".
Roat splashes a considerable amount of gasoline around the apartment, then Susy splashes considerably more. A number of matches are struck, and Roat ignites a newspaper. The amount of gasoline vapor permeating the apartment would have explosively ignited with the first match.
Sam was supposed to be in Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, but Charlie Company is always in the 1sr Battalion in the Marines.
When the two men first enter Susy's apartment, the second one says "What are you calling for? She said she wasn't here." But his lips don't move.
Camera lights are often visible in Roat's sunglasses.
After the "spread out the rug" comment, the camera dollies in for a closeup. A shadow from a camera matte-box moves in at the lower left on chalkboard.
Visible on the left side of the screen as Sam comes down the stairs through the apartment near the end of the movie.
Susy demonstrates excellent hearing and observation skills: she can tell when people are in her apartment, notices Carlino dusting for prints, people fiddling with the blinds, Roat's squeaky shoes, etc. However, she does not appear to notice the rotary-dial mismatch between the telephone number Mike Tallman says he's calling and the number he actually dials. It's easy to tell what number is being dialed if you listen and count the number of clicks.
The time in between when Mike leaves and Carlino reappears is too long. Mike and Carlino chat with each other quickly about a strategy, and Carlino leaves. In this time, Susy has already changed, cleaned up, found the doll, and conjured up a plan with Gloria. If Carlino was supposed get there right after his conversation with Mike, Susy wouldn't have had the time to do all these things. Furthermore, it seems that he looks through the window after some time, even though he is supposed to be visiting Susy.
When Roat comes to Susie's apartment pretending to look for his father he's wearing a disguise. There would be no reason for doing this to talk to a blind woman.
After the "reading Peter Rabbit in braille" phone comment, Susy runs into a chair mentioning, "You're supposed to be there." and returning it beneath the table. Yet six seconds later, she retrieves a scarf off the top shelf of the closet, door open with a lady stuffed into a bag on the backside, without first reaching for the knob. This suggests it's routine to leave the closet door always open, contrary for such a fastidiously kept tidy apartment.
When Suzy first enters her apartment, she should have detected Tom hiding behind the door by scent, if nothing else, with her enhanced powers of observation.
