Today, this sit-com would be considered funny though a bit of a copycat of other current shows. It was provocative, controversial and FUNNY. Sadly, it was too far ahead of its time for its target audience. (Perhaps the openly gay character scared away viewers in the 70's?) Had the network held onto it for a little longer, it might have found a niche, but such was not to be.
