  • Rage! is an amazing film. David Soul has never been better in my opinion, as the rapist going through a corrective institution. His acting is so powerful, that you really believe he is going through all the pain. Watching his pain as he and the doctor slowly work out why he raped, is a very moving experience. There are several other memorable performances as David Soul's fellow inmates at the institute. All in all this is a brilliant psychological film and shouldn't be missed!

This movie had my full attention from start to finish.

David Soul is often unfairly underrated as an actor. He gives wonderful performances and Rage is one of his best. I was unsure at first whether his character was guilty. In fact it wasn't until half way through the film that I found out the truth. I couldn't believe that I could feel so much empathy for his character, and indeed some of the other characters in it too.

Rage is a powerful film and I would highly recommend it.There are wonderful performances by all the actors. This is a movie that I will watch again and again.
  • Personally, I think that David Soul is one of the best actors ever to be found on the small screen, notably in TV-Movies such as World War III, the FBI Murders, and the Fifth Missile. Any actor of this caliber obviously gets his or her strength from the inside, and must be dealing with some incredible issues. Therefore, allegedly (I read it in the press release of "Rage!"), Mr. Soul was ordered by a judge to perform in this Movie (for free) as diversion from being sentenced for spousal assault. In any event, a top performance. P.S. Also check out any of his other TV-Movies, such as Salem's Lot and Homeward Bound. Top Notch!!!
  • It's been a while since I last watched this film but I remember almost every detail and not least for the quality of David's acting. I followed him closely from the early days of Starsky and Hutch which, if I'm truthful, I didn't much care for! But this fild was quite a different kettle of fish. And the closer when he stepped out of prison and a smile lit up his face was magic. One just KNEW it was because his screen wife (out of shot) had come to welcome him out. Perfect!

David Soul put all his heart in this feature which I have commented this very morning; but I forgot only one thing. Don't miss the terrific moment where he meets his father, in jail, in the visitors room. His father whom we already know, that he was total responsible for his son's behavior; this father who obliged his son to participate to sex reunions with women, when the Young boy was only six!! Please don't miss this moment, an awesome suspense where the audience wait to see the face to face between this disgusting and apparently respectable old man - the daddy - and his son, whose he has destroyed the whole life. Leo Gordon as the father. A damn surprise, among the heaviest heavies of old time Hollywood.

    Enjoy !!!

I won't never get tired to watch TV movies, so close to eal life with not garbage stuff too often used for theaters audiences. Yes, David Soul is outstandung here, but there is only one thing that bothers me. When Dave Soul's character is sent in jail, at the beginning, he is supposed to stay here for thirty years. THIRTY YEARS. And only because he attended therapy groups, he is just discharged, just like this? Hmmmm
