From 1985-1993, the series titles was a black and white city with a bright blue river.
From 1993-1999, the series titles was an updated version which included a green river with a coloured city of East London. Drum beat were also added to the beginning of the theme.
From 2012, the Olympic Park is visible on the opening credits.
From 2000-2009, a satellite picture of East London was used with the Millennium Dome [now known as The O2] added to the picture.
As of 2009, an updated satellite picture of East London is being used. And the title faded onto the picture rather than scroll up onto the screen.
Until the late nineties, characters were only credited by their first name only, unless addressed by a title (such as Doctor Legg). However, the exception was Dot Cotton, who was always credited by her full name.
