Suki persuades the builders to down tools, but she knows that she and the rest of the women will have to move Keanu's body quickly. They discuss tactics and Suki receives a call that could change everything. Meanwhile, a newly-released Lauren arrives back on the Square and looks forward to being reunited with Louie. Peter convinces Lauren to stay for longer than she'd planned, but she changes her mind when she finds out that Peter knew Penny's secret and didn't tell her. Linda worries that Lauren will find out the truth about Annie's paternity. Whitney promises to keep quiet, but just as Lauren is about to leave in a taxi with Louie, Sonia approaches and tells her that she has another sister in Walford. Elsewhere, Amy questions Denise's commitment to the Branning family. Lily struggles with the adjustment of being back at school and having less time with Charli.

When Denise finally arrives in the barrel store, she's unimpressed to find Linda drunk. The women agree to meet in the café that night and soon make their excuses as they prepare to put their plan into action. Meanwhile, Lauren considers whether to go to Exeter, but Bobby gives her a different outlook when he pleads Peter's case. She eventually agrees to stay in Walford for a while longer. Lauren announces her plans to Peter and promises to let him see Louie. Penny hopes that Lauren will warm to her too, but when Lauren makes it clear that won't be happening, Sonia decides to intervene. Elsewhere, Phil is rocked by the news that Aunt Sal has died. She decides to do some further digging over what's being going on and she gets suspicious over what leverage Sharon has over Phil. Meanwhile, Peter puts a spanner in the works for Penny when she starts flat-hunting with Lauren, making it clear that he won't let Louie live with someone who's caught up in the drug world. Penny fights back by trying to convince Peter that she's a good person. Elsewhere, George gives Elaine advice when she worries about Linda's wellbeing, pointing out that she can't fix her daughter. Also today, Eve starts moving Suki's belongings into the Slater house.

Aunt Sal's funeral day arrives. Sam insists that Ben and Billy must attend, but Phil is sceptical over her sudden interest in family. Sam gets a shock when Aunt Sal's husband Harold reveals that she left £100,000 to her, Grant and Phil. When Sam demands the money from Phil, he refuses. Later, Sam is left with leverage when Alfie reveals that Phil slept with Emma last year. Sam wastes no time before blackmailing Phil for the inheritance money. She defends her choice and storms out, but as she's also unhappy with Dean for disrespecting her wishes, she soon tells him to go away too. Dean manages to convince Gina to give him another chance. Meanwhile, Stacey wants to stop Kat from dating Nish, so she tells her the truth about Eve. Kat demands answers from Nish, but soon agrees to a date with him regardless. Meanwhile, Kim worries that Denise is experiencing PTSD after watching Nish nearly die in front of her at the pub. She decides not to go on the cruise, but Denise persuades her otherwise. Jack makes a hasty exit, feeling guilty about betraying Denise again. Meanwhile, Linda tries to support Alfie at The Vic following his latest radiotherapy session. Stacey tries to reassure her, but Denise rushes off just as both families are about to walk into the courtroom. Chelsea urges Denise to seek help from professionals after her recent troubles, while Jack joins a party at the Slater house. Amy ends up soothing Denise as she cries out in her sleep, but Jack isn't there. Meanwhile, Linda urges Alfie to tell Ian and Billy about his cancer diagnosis so that he receives more support. Denise's paranoia grows as she wonders whether Jack's case is connected to the Christmas Day death, and she even steals his phone to find out more. Later, another row breaks out between Denise and Jack. She lets slip to Penny that Jack slept with someone else. Denise's day takes another surprising turn when she seeks out an unlikely confidante. Meanwhile, Linda becomes drunk and inconsolable after Ricky sends her a picture of Mick and Janine's baby. Alfie steps in to take her home and she ends up saying more than she should. Meanwhile, Linda worries when Alfie texts her, wanting a further explanation over what she said yesterday. Linda meets with Alfie and tries to put him off the scent. He offers her the manager position, but things turn sour when he berates Bernie for accidentally playing an old voice note from Keanu. Later, Karen returns to Walford. Meanwhile, Nish plans to replace the floor at the café due to a leak. This forces the women to arrange a crisis meeting at Number 31. Denise considers that it might be better off to confess and she writes a letter to Jack. She also hallucinates Keanu as the events of Christmas continue to plague her conscience. Elsewhere, Alfie plans a holiday to celebrate the end of his cancer treatment and he invites Linda to come with him. Linda panics over Karen's return and decides that it's a good idea to go away for the holiday with Alfie. Stacey is shocked when Elaine mentions that Linda is leaving the Square. Meanwhile, Eddie's tough approach has consequences for Denzel in the boxing ring. Yolande worries about Denzel's new obsession when he vows to train twice a day. Eddie speaks to Gloria over the phone and it's clear that he's up to something when he reveals that everything is going to plan.

George, Elaine, Anna and Gina visit Eddie and Gloria's home for Eddie's award celebration. George is pleasantly surprised as Eddie expresses his pride in him, while he's also treated like a returning hero by his father's friends. George starts to wonder whether he misjudged Eddie's behaviour. Later, Eddie's friend Gerald lets slip to George that the jury is going to love him. George is confused, until Gerald explains that Eddie is facing trial for a racially motivated murder and needs George to be his character witness. George is horrified as Eddie's true agenda behind recent events becomes clear. Meanwhile, Johnny is back in Walford and discovers that Linda has fallen off the wagon because Dean is back. Johnny confronts Dean, so Ben has to intervene by dragging Johnny away. Undeterred, Johnny later punches Dean and warns him to leave Linda alone. Elsewhere, Nish tries to impress Kat by inviting her and the kids over for dinner. Nish is irritated by Bert and Ernie running riot, but Kat gets a surprise when Nish issues a surprising invitation.

Linda promises Johnny that she'll stop drinking and he vows to do everything he can to help her stay sober. Meanwhile, Denise is in a terrible state as her hallucinations of Keanu continue. She speaks to Stacey, who recognises the signs that Denise is experiencing psychosis. Stacey encourages Denise to see a doctor. Elsewhere, George struggles to confide in Elaine after recent events and he leaves a voicemail for Cindy, admitting that he wishes she were there.

Ricky fears that Denise is having a breakdown and the situation gets worse when Denise rushes outside to hide in a bush. Stacey ushers Denise back inside, where Yolande and Pastor Clayton try their best to help. Stacey points out that Denise needs to see a psychiatrist, but Denise believes that Lucas is the only person who can help her and she pays him another visit. Meanwhile, Cindy cuts her trip short to help George, who confides in her about his anguish over Gloria and Eddie. Cindy promises George that she'll always be there if he needs her. Elsewhere, Jade entertains some new friends when Jean encourages Nugget and Avani to spend time with her.

At the prison, Lucas becomes concerned about Denise's agitated state. When Denise returns home, she terrifies Amy and Ricky by claiming that she needs to get away to keep them both safe. When Kat learns that Phil is buying The Arches from Ben, she fears that he isn't taking an honest approach with the divorce as the business wasn't included on the solicitor's letter. Nish capitalises on the opportunity to get his hands on some of the Mitchell fortune, so he introduces Kat to dodgy divorce lawyer Roger Peel. Meanwhile, Jack struggles to keep it together. Elsewhere, Jade plays matchmaker between Dean and Fern.

Kat turns up at Number 41 to see Nish, but it soon becomes clear that Nish is already aware of Kat's new plan. Kat rushes off after Nish goes on the attack and she catches up with Stacey, Eve and Suki. Kat and Stacey fight back by humiliating Nish, but he makes a new vengeful plan when he calls DC Whisson to discuss the events of Christmas. Meanwhile, Amy is left deflated after some news from Chelsea. Denzel suggests a date night to cheer Amy up, but he ends up standing her up in favour of a gym session. Later, Amy sees Dean on a first date with Fern and she interrupts by exposing the villain's dark past.

Suki tells Eve that she's leaving and Nish watches the conversation from afar. After advice from Vinny, Suki visits Number 41 to ask for a truce with Nish. Nish turns violent with Suki, but the wider Panesar family arrive home during Suki's time of need. Meanwhile, Dean's solicitor informs him that he won't be able to stop Jade from moving away with Shabnam. Dean comes up with a sinister plan to get Jade to stay. Elsewhere, Sonia and Elaine treat Kathy to a boozy brunch ahead of Rocky's sentencing. Later, Kathy receives some shocking news. Also today, Yolande encourages Denzel to spend more time focused on Amy rather than the gym.

In a special episode covering the events of five weeks, Whitney and Zack arrive in Milton Keynes to visit Bianca. Whitney befriends a local child called Britney, but becomes concerned when she finds her rifling through some bins for food. Bianca explains that Britney and her brother Taylor live with their mum Keeley, who struggles with a drug addiction. Later in the week, Whitney demands an explanation from Keeley after Britney and Taylor get locked out of their flat. In the present day, Whitney visits Britney's school and discovers that the young girl hasn't been enrolled since 2020. Whitney arrives back at Bianca's and discovers that Sonia is paying her own visit. After Whitney spots a gash on Britney's leg, she decides to confront Keeley again. The situation gets out of hand and Britney rushes off, with Whitney in hot pursuit. Events come to a head when Britney accidentally steps out in front of a speeding car. Whitney pushes her out of the way, but gets hit by the vehicle herself.

Whitney is rushed to hospital, where doctors reveal that the baby is fine. When Whitney arrives back at Bianca's place, she discovers that Keeley has been arrested for drug dealing and Britney has gone missing. Fortunately, Zack manages to find Britney. Whitney wants to look after Britney while the social worker arranges the official plans, but Zack is sceptical and decides to head home to Walford without Whitney. Once Zack leaves, Whitney confronts Keeley with some home truths about her parenting. Keeley claims that if Whitney really cared about Britney, she'd take her off her hands. Meanwhile, Sonia and Bianca have a heart-to-heart about Sonia's struggles to conceive.

Zack is back in Walford, but Sonia isn't happy when she finds out that he left Whitney in Milton Keynes. Lauren speaks to Zack, then calls Whitney to express concerns about his state of mind. Despite this, Whitney is determined to stay in Milton Keynes for Britney. Lauren stops Zack from drinking too much at The Vic and offers him some food so that he can sober up. Zack misreads Lauren's kindness and leans in to kiss her. Meanwhile, Denzel is pleased that a popular fitness influencer wants to collaborate on a workout video. Nugget helps but goes ahead and posts the video without Denzel's knowledge. Denzel is left upset by cruel online comments about his physique. When Denzel later reads a comment about steroids, he decides to investigate the possibility of using them himself. Elsewhere, George dismisses Gina's idea of a family holiday to Jamaica, having concealed the truth about their heritage. Gina is confused by his outburst. Also today, Sonia's longing for a baby grows as she looks after Charli.

Zack tries to right a wrong. Meanwhile, Sonia confides in Reiss about Whitney's pregnancy and how she can't help feeling jealous. Reiss suggests that Sonia should write a journal about how she's feeling. Elsewhere, Denzel lies to Yolande about needing money for a school trip, but he uses the cash to buy steroids. Following some advice from Elaine and Cindy, he decides to tell Gina and Anna the truth about his heritage, as well as the full story behind Eddie and the trial. Later, Eddie informs George that he has information about his birth mother but will only hand it over if George acts as his character witness in court tomorrow. Meanwhile, Denise refuses to see Amy and Ricky on Mother's Day. Johnny warns Stacey that she needs to get to Denise before Jack or the kids do, as they're running the risk of the Keanu secret being exposed. Elsewhere, Suki doesn't get the response she wanted when she invites Eve to move into Number 41. Also today, Jean saves the day for Jade's charity auction.

Jack worries about Stacey and Denise being so close and he starts to do some digging over what's going on. Meanwhile, Elaine and the girls search for George. Elsewhere, there's an upsetting incident at the church and Yolande is left feeling even worse about the gossip spreading over her and Pastor Clayton. Pastor Clayton dismisses the rumours and urges Yolande not to let them affect their friendship.

Jack struggles after an ultimatum from Denise, but Stacey encourages him to do whatever Denise asks. Stacey decides to help Denise get her marriage back on track, so they arrange a barbecue for both sides of baby Charli's family. During the barbecue, Stacey encourages Jack to focus on being there for Denise and they share a goodbye kiss. Martin walks in and is shocked to spot Stacey and Jack together. Meanwhile, Gloria visits George on his birthday, but she angers him by protesting that he had a happy childhood. George is concerned by his own outburst and he confides in Elaine. Elsewhere, Jean concerns Dean by calling a doctor when Jade has a bad coughing fit. Things get worse for Dean when Jade looks at his phone. Also today, Avani puts pressure on Will to start vaping.

Jack and Stacey play down their kiss in front of Martin, begging him not to tell Denise. However, Stacey later confesses to Martin about the affair, clarifying that it's over and none of his business. Martin shares his discovery with Kathy, who encourages him to keep quiet as she privately fears the consequences for The Six if Denise finds out. Later, Jack and Denise reach a breakthrough as they vow to fix their relationship. Meanwhile, Dean is forced to create a cover story when Jade and Jean question why he has been avoiding calls and texts from Shabnam. Later, Dean tells Jade that he'll only let her attend the fundraiser at The Vic if she's well enough. Jade is oblivious as Dean continues to tamper with her medication.

Dean goes against his promise to stay away from Jade's fundraiser at The Vic. Jade persuades Elaine to let him stay for her speech. Dean also tries to convince Jade to stay with him in London, but she still wants to move to Pakistan to be with Shabnam. Linda is furious when she spots Dean in the bar and rushes upstairs, closely followed by Jean. Linda urges Jean to see that Dean is playing her, so Jean heads back downstairs and tells Dean to leave. Meanwhile, Honey is angry to find out that Avani sold a vape to Will. She confronts Priya, who makes no apologies. Ravi takes a more tactful approach but Priya once again makes it worse. Elsewhere, Penny considers organising a 30th birthday celebration for Lauren, but Lauren is unsure - especially when Peter says that he won't be able to attend because he already has a date that night.

Priya rows with Ravi over the way she has raised Avani. She ends up flirting with Martin and invites him to buy her a drink at Peggy's later. Ravi later apologises to Priya and they share a warm moment. He asks Priya if he can join her for a drink, but she rejects him in favour of Martin. Meanwhile, Penny sets Lauren up with a dating profile so she can make Peter jealous.

Callum tries to hide his disappointment when it's clear that Ben hasn't made any special plans to celebrate his birthday. When Jay, Lexi and Phil all step in, it's not long before Ben springs into action by organising a surprise birthday party for Callum. Callum is pleased with the celebration but the day takes a turn for the worse when the police arrive to arrest Ben. Meanwhile, Whitney is joined by Britney as she returns to the Square. Britney announces that Whitney is her new foster mum, which Whitney confirms. Zack ends up storming off, annoyed that Whitney didn't share the news with him first. Elsewhere, Jean is suspicious over Dean and discovers that he has been administering Jade's medication. She ultimately finds the empty pill cases. Dean interrupts Jean as she's trying to take Jade back to the Slater house. He comes up with another cover story by placing the blame on Jean. Also today, Ravi gets jealous over Priya's new romantic connection with Martin. Avani confides in Nugget about how she wants to get Priya and Ravi back together. Finally, Amy confronts Denzel over his fitness obsession.

At the police station, Ben protests his innocence over a previous crime which has resurfaced. Back on the Square, Jay, Kathy and Phil all argue over the situation and Lexi demands to know what's going on when she interrupts. Ritchie tries to help Ben and gives Phil an update. Later, Ben calls Phil and makes a request. Meanwhile, Whitney and Zack struggle to clear the air after recent events. Lauren looks after Britney, who causes trouble in the Square. Elsewhere, Yolande annoys Denzel by questioning his diet. When a mysterious package arrives for Denzel, Yolande hides it. Also today, Avani's match-making efforts see her lie to Ravi about Priya being ill. Martin gets the wrong idea when he finds a concerned Ravi at Number 41.
