Netflix’s true crime docuseries Files of the Unexplained episode 3, “The Yuba County Five,” focuses on Ted Weiher, Gary Mathias, Bill Sterling, Jack “Doc” Madruga, and Jackie Huett, a group of friends who went missing in 1978. The episode is gripping, sad, and at times infuriating. Because each episode of the eight real-life cases covered runs in an hour’s slot, some stories had to be edited out. Drew Hurst Beeson’s Out of Bounds: What happened to the Yuba County 5 is an excellent resource for those missing details.
The five men were last seen cheering on their favorite team, Chico State, against Uc Davis at California State University. They arrived at the basketball game for celebration, and in defiance, of their own basketball tournament scheduled the very next day. Their team, the Gateway Gators, were about to close out a season-long winning streak with a competition hosted by the Special Olympics in Sacramento on Feb.

Veteran actor Jeff Kober spoke about working with his director and costar, Jake Johnson, in the movie Self Reliance in his new uInterview.
The film centers on Johnson’s character, Tommy, and what happens to him when he accepts an invitation to play a game where he has to outsmart hunters who are trying to kill him. If he is successful and lives, then he will win a million dollars.
When Kober was asked if he would survive a death game like the one in the movie he replied, “It’s just way too much work. It’s like a whole month he has to be on the ball and you see during the course of the movie that it’s not that easy,” he told uInterview exclusively at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

He also described what it was like to work with Johnson in the movie.

Jim Brown was everything. He was the greatest football player of all time, a trailblazing Black movie star, a vital voice during the Civil Rights Movement, and a man around whom controversy persistently swirled because he did not give a single, solitary f**k ... to a fault.
Brown was a model of American manhood. He played nine seasons of football as the Cleveland Browns running back, and he made the Pro Bowl in every one. Brown averaged 5.2 yards per carry for his career (third-best of all-time) and did so by scrapping for every inch inbounds. He blasted into defenders with rib-cracking velocity. He took his lumps (which were bruisingly visible in his later years), but when you tackled Brown you got the worst of it. The man didn't believe in running to the sideline. He ran through you.

Documentaries don’t have to play by the rules of fiction films. Diehard Halloween fans have been hoping that the character of Tommy Doyle would be returning for one or both of the franchise’s upcoming sequels and now, it’s official. Prominent ’80s star Anthony Michael Hall will be portraying a grown-up version of one of the kids that Laurie Strode babysat on that unfortunate holiday when Michael Myers first escaped custody in the upcoming follow-up Halloween Ends.
The 51-year-old actor rose to stardom as a teenager, popping up in coming-of-age classics like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. To avoid being typecast as a geek, he began to branch out in his adolescence by accepting parts in Out of Bounds, Johnny Be Good, Edward Scissorhands and Six Degrees of Separation. Now, he’s taking the plunge into horror by joining one of the genre’s biggest franchises.
Tommy Doyle was first played by Brian Andrews way back in the day.

Goteborg, Sweden — One of the hits of the Göteborg fest’s Nordic Comedy section, “Out Of Tune” is a cleverly stylized dramedy about a charismatic but manipulative celebrity entrepreneur, Markus Føns, stuck in a remand prison, awaiting sentencing for financial crimes. When life on the yard with the regular prison population proves too dangerous, he moves to a closed unit inhabited by rapists and pedophiles, where his selfish, Machivellian ways upset the social order amongst both inmates and guards.
“Out Of Tune” marks the third feature from talented Danish helmer Fredrikke Aspöck. She holds an Mfa in filmmaking from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and a BA in Theatre Design from Wimbledon School of Art in London. Aspöck’s thesis film from Tisch, the short “Happy Now” (2004), won the Premier Prix de la Cinéfondation in Cannes. Her first feature,“Out of Bounds” (2011), premiered in Cannes and won...

Every once in a while, I open an e-mail and just start laughing at what kind of opportunities I'm given. When someone asks if you want to spend time with Ryan O'Neal, Malcolm McDowell, and Leon Vitali to discuss working with Stanley Kubrick, there's only one correct answer to that. Of course. Absolutely. The interview was arranged to help promote the release of "Stanley Kubrick: The Masterpiece Collection," a new Blu-ray box set that includes eight of his films, a new documentary about the legendary filmmaker, a new hardcover book, and a whole mess of extra features that have been assembled from other earlier releases. It's safe to say that I've spent most of my film-obsessed life fixated on the work of Stanley Kubrick. What's changed is which film takes the top spot for me, and I think that's something that would change for anyone considering the way each...

Memorable lines such as “show me the money” and “there’s no crying in baseball” have landed both "Jerry Maguire" and "A League of Their Own" amongst the list of highest grossing sports movies of all time. During the latest episode of HuffPost Black Voices' sports video series, "Out Of Bounds," Queen Latifah is joined by La La Vazquez, Holly Robinson Peete and model-television personality Jennifer Sterger as they discuss their very own Mvp awards for actors that deserve the same recognition as athletes.
While analyzing the top ten highest grossing sports films, the sports enthusiasts shared their thoughts on the Rocky franchise landing in the top three slots. Though the Sylvester Stallone film series was well received by critics and fans the group didn’t feel quite the same.

If you don't know who Greg Proops is, you probably haven't watched television, listened to the radio, been to a stand-up comedy show, or otherwise been exposed to any form of entertainment in the last 30 years. From "Whose Line is it Anyway?" to "The Nightmare Before Christmas" to "Bob the Builder" to "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" to "The Smartest Man in the World," he's worked in comedy clubs all over the world, been on numerous television shows, recorded radio shows and podcasts, and provided the voices of characters in some of the biggest films of all time. And perhaps most miraculously, he's managed to move from one project to the next, for more than three decades, without sacrificing any of his personality, much less his '50s hipster personal style.
Proops got his start as a class clown before venturing out in front of the microphone in San Francisco as a teenager.
