Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in Wayne's World (1992)

Goofs

Wayne's World

Continuity
While Wayne is talking to Cassandra at the bar in the Gasworks, the bartender in the background is always positioned behind whoever is speaking as the camera cuts back and fourth between the two during their conversation.

Continuity

Supposedly playing in the basement at night, daylight is visible through the window over Garth's shoulder.
The scene in the donut shop takes place in a "Stan Mikita's donuts." However, as Glen starts walking, you can see the real Stan Mikita's building behind him.
Frankie Sharp's Vanity plate "MR BIGGG" has no Statue of Liberty on it when it is shown in Milwaukee, but yet when we see it in Chicago during the Mission: Impossible (1966) scene it has the Statue of Liberty to the right on the plate.
Garth claims that the security guard said that Frank Sharp will be coming through Chicago on Fridays. The security guard never actually mentions any day of the week.
When Cassandra is in the car with Wayne she's obviously wearing a skirt or shorts, as you can see her bare knee. When they arrive to the guitar shop, she is wearing long pants.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Rob Lowe's character is listed as "Benjamin Oliver" in the credits, but when he first meets Wayne and Garth, he introduces himself as "Benjamin Cain." This was a deliberate joke by the crew - a crew member's child had a friend named Oliver Benjamin.
Cassandra plays right-handed bass when shown playing with Crucial Taunt, yet she has a left-handed bass in her room. This is not necessarily a goof. Her main song is the Hendrix tune "Fire." Hendrix always played his guitar upside down. Many guitarists and bassists since also played reverse instruments as a nod to Hendrix.

Revealing mistakes

Obvious stunt driver when Wayne is supposed to be driving the Mirthmobile.
When Stacey is riding by on her bike and she runs into the parked car you can see a landing mat sticking out in the front of the car. You can also see two dents (one big, one small) in the car exactly where the handlebars hit from a previous take.
In the ending of the movie when Stacy tells Wayne she is pregnant, she is shown running past him twice.

Miscellaneous

Due to limited resources, few public access stations own a satellite van or are willing to rent satellite time for the broadcast. When shows are shot at someone's home, they are always taped.
Davy tells Glen that because he was fired he plans to file a grievance with his union. However, a union is always notified ahead of time when an employee is facing possible termination, and, once the employee is fired, the union could no longer represent him and could, therefore, do nothing to help Davy.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

None of the band members in Crucial Taunt (especially the drummer) play in time with the music that they are heard to make.
When Wayne's World interrupts the broadcast in Mr. Big's limo, the audio for the program is heard slightly before his broadcast is interrupted.
When Crucial Taunt are playing in Cassandra's apartment as Wayne and Garth head to Milwaukee, there is no echo on the audio. However, when the band stop playing, there is a very clear echo when Cassandra and Benjamin talk and even on the rustling of the papers in her hands so there would certainly be a noticeable echo when the band played.

Crew or equipment visible

In the last scene set in Wayne's basement, a portion the blue screen behind the set is visible.
When Wayne and Garth are playing stick hockey in the street in front of Garth's house, a sound man with a boom mic and a white scrim reflector are seen in the reflection on the side of the blue Astro van that drives past them in the street.

Errors in geography

There are no palm trees in Aurora, Illinois.
When Wayne and Garth are sitting on their car watching planes pass overhead, there are mountains and a desert in the background. There are no mountains near Aurora.

Character error

Noah Vanderhoff is talking to Benjamin, explaining the commercials for his chain of stores, Noah's Arcade. He says "I do my own commercials. Course, I don't mention the games in the commercials, 'cause the technology moves so much faster than the advertising." Yet in the beginning of the movie, they show Benjamin watching a Noah's Arcade commercial, where Vanderhoff is seen specifically listing the video games in his arcades, games like "Zandar, Beauwolf, Ninja Commando, SnakeAZon, Psycho Chopper...."
At the start of the "gratuitous sex scene," Wayne is alternating opening and closing his eyes, saying "Camera 1" and "Camera 2." When he starts, "Camera 1" is closer to Cassandra's left than "Camera 2," meaning that Camera 1 is Wayne's right eye, and Camera 2 is his left eye. At the end of that part of the scene, however, he says "Camera 2" last, but his right eye is open, which should be Camera 1 if he had been consistent.
