A pupil claims that Andrew "had it away with his wife" for the first time in 10 years and had a heart attack.
A pupil claims that a teacher might have piles. "It always gets them in the end".
A pupil says he is studying a play about "a wife who is unfaithful and murders her husband".
There is an undercurrent of sexual tension between Frank and Laura. She goes to his home and they kiss. As she embraces him she tells him that she "loves f*cking" him. She begins to undress but stops before any garments are removed. She wants to tell her husband that they "are screwing". Later a group of pupils discuss rumours that she is "having it off with somebody" and try to find out who she is "shagging". A younger pupil is asked whether he would like to "give her one". An older boy claims to have seen her braless "tits" down her blouse.
A group of younger schoolboys are showering. Several bare bottoms are seen.

A schoolboy is taunted with claims that his mother is having an affair and is "a good f*ck".
A young lady describes being "absolutely naked in a hotel corridor and no key". A young man expresses a wish that he had been there.

A teacher, conducting an experiment, pours a red liquid into a bottle. He claims it is the blood of a student who has had a nosebleed.
Several pupils refer to a teacher as a sadist.
A group of pupils gather around a fellow pupil and jostle him for being an "arse-crawler". It is not particularly violent and a teacher quickly breaks it up.
A class is reading a play in which a woman had murdered her husband and there is some brief discussion as to her cruelty. Later another pupil refers to her stabbing him over and over. He speaks of the horror of the events.
A group of pupils runs behind the choir while they are practising and strike several of the singers on the backs of the legs.

A woman offers a man a sherry but they agree that it is far too early in the day.
Some of the teachers and their spouses drink champagne at a cricket match and at an evening function but it is consumed in moderation and incidental to the action taking place.
Three older pupils return to their dormitory drinking alcohol and clearly affected by it.
