Much of the filming took place at the Tregenna Castle Hotel. The flags which can be seen outside the hotel include the US and Cornwall flags side by side, which were left over from a wedding of a Cornish woman and an American man which had taken place at the hotel shortly before.
Jean Simmons and Joss Ackland appeared as Desiree Armfeldt and Fredrick Egerman in the 1975 London premiere of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. They subsequently play husband and wife in Miss Marple: They Do It with Mirrors (1991).

As was current for that particular year technology-wise, Katherine and Gerald go into town and purchase a Sony Discman which was the latest thing to play relatively new CD's.
