- TriviaAccording to the booklet that accompanies the album The Greatest Hits, the title's two uses of the word "live", indistinguishable by spelling alone, are pronounced differently - the first is pronounced as a rhyme with "give", and the second is pronounced as a rhyme with "five". The title is based on a lyric from the song New Sensation, though both uses of the word in the song are pronounced as a rhyme with "give".

Purely FANTASTIC- This needs to be released on Region 1 DVD !
This live concert of INXS in their prime is phenomenal ! 72000+ fans jammed into Wembley stadium for a celebration of how good INXS became.
My summary line "Purely FANTASTIC- This needs to be released on Region 1 DVD " was in hopes of getting Universal Studio's attention. They released this show on VHS and also only on Region 4 DVD (which is for Australia). It won't play in any Region 1 (USA/Mexico) DVD player. This is a crime and another example of the short-sightedness of record/video companies. Their marketing geniuses missed INXS by a mile! I first saw them in 1983 on MTV (Don't Change) and liked them instantly. Now it's almost 20 years later, AND I STILL CAN'T SEE THEM! I have a VHS copy, but it's not the same as DVD... Are you listening Universal? I'd pay $20-30 for a legal copy of this; but instead, I will be forced to find a bootleg copy that's reformatted for USA region 1...Knuckleheads.
Anyway, back to the show:
Michael Hutchence leads INXS into many familiar songs like "New Sensation" that gets the crowd jamming and bobbing up and down in a giant wave of humanity - it's quite a sight and sound!
"The One Thing", "Suicide Blonde", "The Stairs", and "By My Side" are flawless.
This is the absoulute must-have show for INXS fans. Forget the video "Great Video Experience" at least don't get it without getting this one first.
Of course the irony of all of this is the title "Live Baby Live" (live as in you're alive, not live as in live from new york)...
Michael is still sorely missed by fans around the world, even 5 years after his suicide.
