Passions (1999)

Trivia

Passions

Edit
The names of the witch and the daughter, Tabitha and Endora, are the names of witches from Bewitched (1964). Also, it was mentioned on the show that the Passions witch Tabitha Lenox had parents named Darrin and Samantha.
Two actors from the series Bewitched (1964) were on Passions with Juliet Mills' witch character, Tabitha. Bernard Fox reprised his Bewitched role of Dr. Bombay, while Alice Ghostley, who played Esmerelda on Bewitched, played a new character, Matilda Matthews.
"Passions" began its life as a run-of-the-mill soap opera, full of sex, intrigue, and scandal. In a bid to distinguish the show from the other soaps on the air at the time (and to boost ratings), the producers decided to add a witch to the cast.
When Bruce Michael Hall (Reese) left the show, they replaced him with his twin brother, Seth Hall.
It was rumored that Taylor Anne Ramsey left her role as Kay Bennett so suddenly in the summer of 2000 because she had a real-life break up with actor Jesse Metcalfe, who played Miguel. Jesse went on to quit Passions to join the cast of Desperate Housewives.
