  • To make a very good film takes a lot of time and effort. But judging by this cheapo, to make a bad film is much more difficult. This disastrous B-grade "film" is easily on par with all those unwatchable B-grade films of the 1980s. Rani plays a young bride and repeats her character from her debut film, Raja Ki Ayengi Baraat. And she gives a performance that is so dreadful that every fan of hers would start hating her. There are some court scenes which are incredibly pathetic, with fight scenes in the court (Yes yes!!). All the characters are caricaturish, the dialogues are as unbearable as the random lines you would find in any comic strip of the 1950s. The music is equally forgettable. Don't watch this, and if you're a Rani fan, thrice as much!

    Warning: Spoilers
After her debut in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Rani kept doing rubbish films except Ghulam and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Mehndi released in 1998, those days Rani had a very screachy voice too which added to her problem. The film looks straight like a 80s films where a girl is troubled by her inlaws, there is also a subplot of an eunuch The film gets overbearing with twists, loud melodrama and screeching

Direction is bad Music is okay

Faraaz Khan is decent in his anti hero role, sadly he didn't go much far Rani Mukherjee annoys with her screeching, though she does impress in parts Himani Shivpuri is as usual, Pramod Moutho too is okay, Shakti Kapoor is okay rest are okay

One of the worst hindi I have seen in years. The story does not go with real life. If you want to laugh without thinking about the seriousness of the movie, you can watch it.
  • It's often said B-movies are the best training grounds for the future generation cinematic greats. Look at Jack Nicholson or Francis Ford Coppola. This movie's just the kind of exposure Rani Mukherjee must've required. Be it the Kheer with dog's urine, be it the constable who keeps reminding his superior that actor Arjun's character is a transevite and the Inspector's name is Bhishma, Pramod Moutho's haplessness(Har baat ghoom phir kar mere upar hi kyun aati hai ?) or Himani Shivpuri's abusive delivery. Shakti Kapoor's signature shamelessness add more to the comedy. Must watch.
  • This is a beautiful movie about love and tradition in an Indian village. This movie is a must-see for its heartfelt storytelling and cultural richness. Mehandi is a captivating movie that shows how people can be strong even when things are tough, and love can overcome anything. Must-watch. The story follows two lovers whose lives are connected through mehandi designs. The film captures the richness of Indian culture, with great performances and stunning visuals. What's special about Mehandi is how it tackles serious issues like caste discrimination and gender inequality while still being a love story. It's a touching film that leaves you feeling hopeful and inspired.
