Narasimham is a superb commercial entertainer. This movie portrayed another face of Mohanlal's acting skills. From the start to the end, the viewers are taken to various emotions of laughter, tears, anger, rush of blood etc.Every scene in the movie makes an impact with the viewers. It was good to see Mohanlal in an all new avatar. This movie stands tall with its strong story being the backbone.
Supporting actors like Thilakan,Aiswarya,Jagathy are the icing on the cake. The villain role played by late N.F Varghese is simply superb.Shaji kailas should be thanked for making this movie superb.Songs and BGM are good thanks to M.G Radhakrishnan.
It ran for more than 150 days in many cinemas in kerala.. Overall, this movie is a megahit.A must watch..super action thriller.. I give it a 9/10..

He said "Monneeè Deeenèshhha" approximately 19 times.
Induchoodan(Mohanlal) was framed for a murder by his father Justice Menon's(Thilakan) enemy Manapally Madhavan Nambiar(Kozhikode Narayanan Nair). Since all the evidence were against induchoodan without any loopholes,Menon being a righteous person refuses to save his son. So induchoodan gets six years imprisonment. After six years, Madhavan nambiar dies and induchoodan returns going on a rampage mode against Nambiar's son Manapally Pavithran(Nf Varghese) by boycotting him to cremate his father's ashes in Bharatapuzha. Menon has a illegitimate daughter Indulekha(Kanaka) who Pavithran uses as a tool against Menon. He murders indulekha and puts the blame on Menon. Rest of the film is how induchoodan proves his father's innocence and take revenge on pavithran.
Its Mohanlal show all over in an out an out mass character. Though he previously played mass characters in spadikam, devasuram and aaram thampuran, Narasimham is totally a different league. This is one film which turned Mohanlal into a demigod among his fans. And why not? Even his minor acts in this film is clapworthy. But you can't call it Mohanlal's one man show. There are also memorable performances from supporting cast. That was the speciality of old Malayalam mass films where even small characters had a substantial role but today's Malayalam mass films are copying Tamil and Telugu style which is just one man show of the hero. Nf Varghese gives equal competition to Mohanlal as pavithran. Thilakan as usual gives a standard performance as Menon. Mohanlal-Thilakan combination scenes are another highlight though its nowhere near to kireedam and spadikam. While lalettan fans were having a blast, makers didn't ignore ikka fans. So, there comes Mammooty in a crucial cameo as Adv. Nandagopal who fights the case of Menon. Mammooty's presence forced even mammooka fans to watch narasimham in theaters. Narasimham was safe in the hands of Shaji kailas who was the biggest action director in Malayalam at that time.
Only drawback I felt in Narasimham was it's climax could have been more entertaining like firecrackers. On the whole Narasimham is one of the best mass film in Malayalam. It remained industry hit at that time until it was surpassed by Mammooty's Rajamanikyam.
Induchoodan is memorable character who introduced "Po mone dinesha" to malayalis. Playing the central character Mohanlal does another mass role fighting for his father against Manapali family headed by NF Varghese. This was a time when Mohan Lal was on a roll with such mass characters and movies used to run for 300+ days in theatre. Kanaka and Aishwarya are the female leads.
An electric high voltage festival of dialogues and action. Always gets your spirits high as you watch this!

Mohanlal is the ULTIMATE simham...not one boring frame in this motion picture..his double entndre lines are delivered with aplomb!... Mamooty better get out of the way because Mohnalal is the real simham of malayalam cinema (aka keralawood
the direction is highly kinetic and the dialogues poetically beautiful...i've never seen so much ingenious use of Simham imagery..I LOVED IT!...
the songs sucked however..except that crazy one where everyone was drunk..highly entertaining!...other movies tried to capture Narasimham's MAGIC but failed miserably...there will only be one..THE SIMHAM IS IMMORTAL!
