The third trailer for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is 90 seconds of uninterrupted action. That isn't much of a surprise since the movie was made by the dream team of Steven Spielberg (directing) and Peter Jackson (producing).
As far as a synopsis goes, nothing much has been released yet. The official site for the movie only says that Tintin is an "intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure." Jamie Bell, who plays Tintin in the motion-capture animated flick, may have revealed why that is. When the young actor was asked in an interview with Movie Pilot if he could describe the movie in thirty second or so, he simply replied "No." It sounds like we can expect a pretty involved plot from what might look on the surface to be simply family-friendly holiday fare.

Colin Firth shortlisted for best actor prize as George VI drama picks up eight nominations for British Independent Film awards
Oscar-tipped period drama The King's Speech is the early frontrunner in the British Independent Film awards after securing eight nominations.
Tom Hooper's film, which stars Colin Firth as King George VI and Geoffrey Rush as Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue, tells how the monarch overcame a stammer after unexpectedly becoming king in 1936 following the abdication of his brother, Edward VIII.
Firth picked up a best actor nod, while Rush, Guy Pearce and another co-star, Helena Bonham Carter, received best supporting actor and actress nominations. The film also won nominations in the best film, best director and best screenplay categories.
Other early leaders at the awards, which try to identify the best in British independent film-making, were the London film festival opener, Never Let Me Go, which garnered five nominations,...

In The Tempest, one of the last plays William Shakespeare fully authored, the character of Prospero is a conundrum. For 12 years he's been marooned on an island with his young daughter, Miranda. Struggling to survive, he blackmails the spirit Ariel into being his servant and compels the mortal Caliban to be his slave. For reasons equally simple and complex, Prospero is hero and antihero, protagonist and antagonist. Perhaps it's those contradictions that make him the perfect role for Mandy Patinkin to play. For seven months Patinkin has enjoyed a luxury afforded very few actors: He's done little but prepare to play perplexing Prospero, in this case for Classic Stage Company's Off-Broadway production of The Tempest. For the first three months, he logged three to four hours a day, including Saturdays and Sundays, meeting with Shakespeare scholar Rachel Chavkin and analyzing each line of the play, "translating it into English,...
