This movie was a notch above the usual fare churned out out by the Lahore film industry. The story, though lifted from a foreign movie, has been executed in such a manner that it fits into the parameters of the Pakistani society, though it's execution could have been much better. The script is completely devoid of any sophistication, however the good acting and at times excellent cinematography lift it above mediocrity. Performances are largely satisfactory, even if the lead actress tends to go hyperbolic at times. However she redeems herself with the superb acting in the climax sequence. The strength of this movie lies mostly in its awesome soundtrack - the most important asset for any film coming from the South Asian subcontinent. The picturisation of the song-and-dance sequences varies, from the very crude to brilliant, but overall the director does a good job at exposing the spellbinding Pakistani topography.

Not too bad, but the soundtrack was definitely much better! Watch it if you want to hear some good music ... the remaining portions of the movie are wouldn't exactly bore you either!
