This two-reel number gets a rather vague start, but later works up quite a strong interest. Barbara Tennant and Alec Francis are in the cast. Some of the scenic effects are striking. The story is one of the typical Northwestern offerings produced by this company; the most exciting scene is where the two men hang over the cliff and Dave cuts the rope in order that Jim may climb to safety. - The Moving Picture World, November 22, 1913
