Beyond prejudice and social status, the young couple of the affluent businessman, Dinos Maris, and the impecunious unemployed woman, Anna, decide to get married. Having already made plans for their shared future, they return from France to Greece, only to come face-to-face with Dinos' haughty relatives; his spiteful mother, and his equally malicious sister.
