The story revolves around Hemavati (Pandaribai), who is the devoted wife of King Kailasanatha (Dr. Rajkumar), faces numerous hardships along with her two childrens when Kailasanatha loses his kingdom due to a drought.
Dr. Rajkumar and Pandaribai delivers an outstanding performance and breathes life into the character which is unparalleled.
Narasimharaju and G. V. Iyer both are outstanding, the comedy scenes between both of them will definitely make you laugh.
The music, composed by Padmanabha Shastri features some excellent songs, which adds value to the film.
M. Jayashree plays a negative role of Chanchaladevi, a cunning sister-in-law of Hemavati.
