Will Robin Hood 2018's Sequel Happen? Everything We Know
Image
Taron Egerton's Robin Hood movie from 2018 is coming back into the pop culture conversation, leading many to wonder if it could be in line for a sequel.

Egerton led the way as the titular Robin of Loxley alongside a cast filled with stars, which included Jamie Foxx and Ben Mendelsohn. The film was a modern retelling of the classic legend, following his training with Foxx's Little John to rob Mendelson's Sheriff of Nottingham of his money and give it back to those in need.

Sadly, Robin Hood became a massive flop, only earning a 14% Tomatometer score and 39% Audience Meter rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It fared no better at the box office, barely delivering an $86 million haul against a reported $100 million budget.

Whitney Rydbeck, who memorably appeared in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives and later made a major impact in a safety PSA, died last week from prostate cancer complications while in hospice care in Chatsworth, California. He was 79.

Rydbeck started in TV, making one-episode appearances on shows like The Brady Bunch, Big John, Little John, M*A*S*H, Switch. He continued later in his career with appearances on 3rd Rock From the Sun and Scrubs.

Robin Hood: Origins - The Reboot No One Asked For Is Taking A John Wick Approach
I know exactly what you’re thinking. Why do we need another Robin Hood movie? We’re right there with you. Along with the likes of Peter Pan, Robin Hood seems to be one of the most retread stories known to man. You hate sequels, remakes, and reboots? Most of them don’t hold a candle to the number of Robin Hood stories we’ve gotten. Maybe King Arthur stories slightly edges out Robin Hood, but it’d be a close competition. Well, regardless of what we all want, Robin Hood: Origins is happening, and while we can’t necessarily agree with the studio in bringing this one to life, there’s still a possibility that they can do something cool with it.

If you were unaware that this film was even happening, all we can tell you so far is that Kingsman star Taron Egerton plays the titular Robin Hood,...

Filmmaker Brandon Slagle Shares His Best And Worst Films of 2010 With GeekTyrant

Actor/writer/director Brandon Slagle has shared his Best, Worst and Middle of the Road with GeekTyrant. Slagle is one guy to be on the lookout for too. He makes cool movies of his own, jumps on board other filmmaker's  projects, jet sets from coast to coast and then resumes his own cool movie making again. Here's what he shared with Gt;

I wish that I could come up with a longer, more in-depth, completely Earth-shattering list...I really do.  Trust me, had I known when I was a lad that one day, I would be asked to contribute such a list, I would have planned on making 2010 nothing short of a filmgoing extravaganza!!  As it is, however, I spent most of 2010 shooting films, and had little time to enjoy the works of others - which is actually Not a sarcastic statement, believe it or not - as I wish I could have seen more.

"Sherwood Horror" Concept Poster Additional Casting
This is your first look at a concept poster for "Sherwood Horror", a contemporary set reimagining of the Robin Hood legend with bite. The poster was created by artist Zack Reese featuring actor DJ Perry in the Robin Hood role. Rob Locksley (DJ Perry), an ex-con, returns home after a six year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions. Taymour Ghazi is now in talks for a role as one of Locksley's merry men. Ghazi will play Tiny (aka Little John) a tavern bouncer and hunter who harbors a personal grudge against Locksley, but becomes one of his strongest allies in their battle against the undead, using his brute force and his...
