Goofs

Bad Santa

Continuity
When Willie is selecting the stuffed elephant for The Kid, he turns when he hears the sound of Marcus cocking the revolver he is holding. But when Marcus is talking and waving the gun around, the hammer is still forward and uncocked.

Continuity

When Willie is in the bath talking to The Kid, the cloth he has draped over his face changes pattern and color between shots.
When The Kid sneezes on Willie, Marcus' shirt changes from green with a red collar to green with a blue vest/chaps combo.
When a kid sneezes chocolate ice cream all over Willy's face and Santa beard, the chocolate disappears and reappears between shots.
When Gin stops a kid stealing a game, he throws the game back to the rack and it slides back into the rack upright. In the next shot, the game is laying on top of the rack instead.
When the store manager is talking to Gin about the quickie in the dressing room, the first shot shows Gin's feet on the desk, but the shot immediately following shows him sitting upright in his seat.

Factual errors

The word "canceled" is used in America but the security alarms in both of the malls say "cancelled" when the word is used in the UK.
In the end credits. The actor who played the shoplifter is Ryan Pinkston but he's credited as Ryan Pinkerton [director's cut only].
Music orchestrator Don Nemitz is credited as Don Nimetz in the end credits.
When Thurman first takes Willie inside his house to meet Grandma Merman, Grandma is watching the 2002 Dole "Banana Shuffle" commercial on TV. This commercial was only aired between August 2002 and November 2002, and the film takes place during Christmastime, 2003.
When the kids were telling Willie what they wanted for Christmas. The photo elf only takes a picture of the girl who wants Barbie. The photo elf was supposed to be taking pictures of all the kids on Santa's lap.

Revealing mistakes

The bottle that Willie throws onto the car's front glass breaks as if it's made of glass when clearly in the previous shot, the bottle is made of plastic.
When Marcus is crawling through the air ducting above the customer service people on their computers, the middle computer monitor has no power cord.
When Willie is trying to shut off the alarm clock, he presses several buttons. Occasionally, the alarm clock's display changes 12:00 and then back to 11:15, because he presses the "alarm set" button (which one would hold while setting the alarm). But he is awakened by the alarm going off, and the display reads 11:15, which means that the alarm shouldn't be set for 12:00.
When Sue is having sex with Willie in the car, it's clear that Billy Bob is not in there, as he'd have to be about 4 feet tall or so to match where Santa's hat is.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Willie brings the stripper home and listens to his answering machine, the sound of a tape rewinding is heard. However, the machine is clearly a digital model, as revealed by a closeup during Marcus' call, and thus has no tape.
When Santa is playing pinball with the girl he claims is 18, he is heard talking, but his lips are not moving
When Marcus cancels the alarm panel at the first robbery a clunking sound can be heard when he disables the alarm. However, all the buttons on the alarm's panel are push button and therefore none of them would make this sound.

Errors in geography

Nowhere in Miami Beach are there hills like the one in front of Willie's apartment. Neither are there palm trees as high as are shown in the movie.

Plot holes

When Marcus turns off the surveillance cameras, he uses one button to turn off the TVs. If he just turned off the TVs, then the cameras would still be recording (but the images wouldn't be displayed in the security room).
They don't wear gloves during the robbery/safe cracking and in the first robbery Willie even leaves beer cans with both fingerprints and DNA, yet they never get caught.

Character error

When negotiating at the bar. Before Marcus offers a 45% deal to store dick. Marcus is seen struggling to keep a straight face. He is seen covering his face with his hand.
When Bob Chipeska is in the Women's Plus Size dressing room, he overhears Willie saying "You ain't gonna shit right for a week." But when he's talking to Gin, he quotes Willie as saying "for a month."
The one kid says he wants "Nintendo Deer Hunter 3" for Christmas but that game is available only for the PC.
Gin wouldn't have the right or the authority to take away the shoplifting kid's MP3 player and let him walk free. In real life, mall security guards would never take away something that's owned by a customer and wouldn't let shoplifters walk away free. They would either kick them directly out of the mall or even hold them in their office until parents can pick them up or if they're okay to go.
When Gin is reporting Willie's "clean" record to Bob Chipeska, he calls Chipeska by the actor's name, Jack (Ritter), instead of the character's name, Bob.
