Stick
- Stick: Don't look for your opponent. Know where he is. I'm blind, and I see more than any of you, because I don't look.
- Stick: Do you know the Way, Elektra? Kimagure, the ability to control time... the future... even life and death.
- Elektra: I know I'm the best student here.
- Stick: Not the best. The most powerful. You understand violence and pain. But you do not know the way.
- Elektra: Teach me, then.
- Stick: That's my point. I can't teach you.
- Mark Miller: [deleted scene] They're gone, both of them.
- Stick: I told Abby not to go. She's more willful than Elektra. Paul, best ready the men.
- Fight Instructor: Yes, sensei.
- Mark Miller: Go where?
- Stick: Elektra has left the compound. I presume, to draw Kirigi's hand. Your daughter followed her.
- Mark Miller: What are we doing here? We have to go after them now.
- Stick: Too late. It's already started.
- Mark Miller: Now, old man.
- Stick: Mr. Miller, we will go as quickly as we can. But I'm in no condition to fight, and neither are you. You must accept that your daughter is becoming a warrior.
- Mark Miller: She's only 13 years old.
- Stick: She's strong, and so is Elektra. Have some faith in them.
- [first lines]
- Stick: Since time began, a war has been waged in the shadows between the armies of good and evil. It may be fought on a grand scale or within the heart of a single individual or even a child. The evil has taken many forms and used the darkest of arts. In our time, they call themselves simply the Hand. The good follow the way of kimagure. Its masters can see the future and perhaps even bring back the dead. Legend tells of a unique warrior, a lost soul. This Warrior is a woman, a motherless daughter. And it is her destiny to tip the balance between good and evil. She is a treasure, and both sides seek her out as the final weapon in an ancient war.
- Stick: [alternate opening] Her name was Elektra. She was a Warrior. She was also dead. Well, nobody's perfect. Imagine a game. Two sides, equally matched, good against evil, some might say. But it's never that simple. Only a warrior can come back from death. And even then, the second life is never quite like the first. We retrained her. Tried to make her one of us. Her skills were remarkable. But her attitude was a problem. She has authority issues.
