Exclusive: There’s movement within Netflix’s unscripted ranks.
Deadline understands that Damla Dogan and Todd Hurvitz are exiting the streamer, the latest shake-up in the company’s non-scripted division. Hearing that they were told this morning.
Dogan, who was Director of Unscripted Originals, has been with the company for six years, while Hurvitz, who was Director, Non-Fiction Series, has been with the company for just over three years.
It comes as Jeff Gaspin, who was appointed as Vice President, Unscripted Series in February, puts his own stamp on the streamer’s non-scripted strategy. Gaspin has been up front about wanting Netflix to focus on bigger, entertainment formats, rather than lifestyle programming and other types of non-fiction series.
This includes shows such as Building The Band and Battle Camp. “The difference from the past is we want to focus on bigger formats, more of what you would call broadcast-style shows versus the cable style shows.

Mumbai, April 13: "Go Goa Gone" co-director Raj Nidimoru believes a heady combination of fear and comedy will work amongst today's audience.
Talking about the scope of a zombie comedy like "Go Goa Gone", he told Ians: "The scope is great. When we made the film, we realised that it had a lot of scope. Fear and laughter are primal instincts. To combine them together, we think it is a tremendous pull for the audience!"
Nidimoru has co-directed the movie with Krishna D.K. Together. They had earlier made films like "Shor in the city", "99" and "Flavors".
Their new offering "Go Goa Gone", releasing May 10, features Saif Ali.

[Our thanks to Padrhig Harney for the following review.]
Bombay has become Mumbai. With this and many other changes in the past two decades the population has grown to around 13 million. The directorial duo Krishna Dk and Raj Nidimoru use the city as their canvas to present the viewer three layers of a modern society in the city of Mumbai. Three intertwined stories from the wealthy upper class, middle class, and poor lower class. We follow them through the bustling metropolis as one by one they inevitably get lost in the noise.
"Noise" is the duo's fourth full film and will most likely be the vehicle providing them funding for their future projects. Directors Krishna Dk and Raj Nidimoru where both born in India and raised in the States. After gaining a small cult following with their 2004 film "Flavors" they worked on melding news clippings together for the script that would become "Noise". The film is based on 20 or...

99 has released and for those looking for an unconventional masala fare, the film has clicked in a big way. The collections, which were on a lower end on Friday, have also shown a constant jump day after day, hence raising the hopes for the film to break even at the least. No wonder, its lead hero Kunal Khemu is ecstatic. ''Honestly, working on 99 was more of an instinctive decision'', says Kunal when questioned if he was ever in doubt about 99 considering it's directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. had done only one offbeat film - Flavors - earlier, ''I had also seen their award winning film Shor and had really liked it. So when I read the script of 99, I knew that these guys had it in...

A sure shot way of developing curiosity in the mind of the audience is through the titles of the films. Flavor of the season is titling them through numbers and during the current year 99 is fourth film in the series. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna Dk, the directors of the upcoming 99, starring Vinod Khanna, Kunal Khemu, Soha Ali Khan, Boman Irani and Cyrus Brocha, are keeping their fingers crossed for their first Hindi feature film, 99. Not many will be aware that it was in 1999 that the two had first made a short film, aptly called Shorts and in 2005, they made their first feature film, an ensemble comedy called Flavors. Raj Nidimoru says, ''The year 1999 was the beginning for us...
