Writer-director Greg Mottola has inked a one-year deal with Fox Broadcasting Co. to develop and direct pilots targeted for fall 2004. Additionally, Mottola (The Daytrippers) is expected to direct episodes of the network's existing series and already has been tapped to helm segments of Fox's new single-camera comedy Arrested Development. The deal extends Mottola's relationship with Fox. This past development season, he helmed the network's single-camera comedy pilot The Big Wide World of Carl Laemke, created by and starring Bob Odenkirk. He also directed episodes of Fox's 2001 single-camera comedy Undeclared. Mottola is repped by UTA and attorney Howard Abramson.
