Some martial arts action, involving a preteen girl knocking out two judo instructors whilst chewing gum.
A comment is made about cannibalism.
The Oompa Loompas mention Augustus Gloop being grinded down and boiled. None of this happens.
When Violet chews some of Wonka's gum, her face starts turning blue and she begins swelling up to an enormous size until she is a gigantic blueberry with her hands, feet and head sticking out.
The cross section of a large fantasy insect is shown, but it is nothing more than poorly rendered pinkish red texture.
A large pack of squirrels surround a girl and attack her. They drag her towards a garbage chute. She shouts out for her father and can barely move; she then also scratches the floor. The squirrels throw her down the chute and later do the same thing to her dad.

Grandpa George begins to go on an angry rant about Mike Teavee and Mr. Bucket covers Charlie's ears and it is shown from Charlie's point of view we only hear muffled shouts and it is implied what he is saying is profane.
Mike says "retard."
Insults and euphemisms are mainly heard; "poppycock" is used as a word for nonsense; "nuts" is used for the food and possibly a mildly vulgar slang term for testicles.
Grandpa George says "Like hell" at one point.
In the deleted scene of the chocolate room, Mike calls the Oompa Loompas "little freaks".
Separate one-time uses of "hell," and the "r-word" respectively.

As an in-joke, Wonka suggests that the kids "try some of his grass" (slang for marijuana). We then see that he is referring to a field of edible candy grass, the plant, not the drug.
In one scene, Veruca's mother is seen sipping on her martini whilst her daughter is having a tantrum.

A group of mechanical dolls are set on fire and begin melting as they sing. Thier skin drips off and one is seen with its eyeballs falling out More grotesque than scary or violent.
A cow is seen having its udders whipped. This is dismissed as a joke about making whipped cream.
This is likely a PG 13 borderline territory due to its intense scene when Mike almost got stabbed by an Oompa Loompa.
Even though it is in the children's movie genre, this is a Tim Burton movie, so it is dark and scary and not suitable for young children.
This movie teaches educational lessons to children. However, the target audience of the movie is not young children but tweens ok.
None/Moderate for neurodivergent viewers.
The movie is about a quirky chocalateer/chief executive allowing 5 children to enter his factory to see who would be a good candidate for staying at his factory.
