  • ...because they switched the times on this show so many times, it was getting to be frustrating looking for it. I gave up after a while because I didn't think I should have to play detective to find this show every week.

This show, an original creation by Stephen King, is similar to THE FUGITIVE in that you have your man on the run premise. Also, like THE FUGITIVE, it has a conclusion. Harlan Williams, a 72 year old janitor, is caught in an explosion in a top secret government facility where he works. What happens after the accident is truly astounding, so much so that some nefarious elements of the government want to keep him under wraps and study him like he's some new species of insect. He and his wife, with the help of a friendly government agent, go on the run and what ensues is an exciting chase as they try to stay a step ahead of one of the Shop's (a fictional branch of the CIA?) top gun assassins. This series has a startling and satisfying conclusion. I have a VHS copy of the entire series that I got for my birthday about fourteen years ago. The whole series is six hours long and can be watched in one or two settings. Worth having. 9 out of 10.
