Silent Hill 4: The Room (2004)

Trivia

Silent Hill 4: The Room

Edit
If you turn on the radio in the first half of the game, when it still gives you the news, the game's producer, Suguru Murakoshi, is said to have been caught "urinating from atop a utility pole"
Walter Sullivan is mentioned in Silent Hill 2. He is described as a psychopathic killer who chopped two children into pieces with an axe.
The game was developed alongside Silent Hill 3 as a side project that was to experiment with a new play style.
Even though the game is called "Silent Hill," you never get a chance to run around Silent hill. You do see it from a distance and read newspaper clipping about it.
Silent Hill 2 appears to contain several foreshadowings of Silent Hill 4. At one point, James enters a bar with a cryptic message scrawled on the wall: "There was a HOLE here. It's gone now". This could be a reference to the kinds of spontaneously appearing and vanishing "holes" Henry uses to travel between realms in Silent Hill 4.
