  • This series is a great prep for film school, but lacks overall entertainment value by itself. The cast is somewhat interesting, though they seem to be represented in strictly caricature form. Really what this series breaks down to is a series of valuable lessons about the process of making a student film, and the importance of a good relationship between the crew, the actors, and the key specialists on the project.

    * Take note of Leah and her GINORMOUS ego... this is a great example of how NOT to act as a director. Great lesson to learn about keeping your own importance as director in check.
  • Anyone who wants to attend film school and direct films should watch this series!

The film students selected for this show are varied and interesting. Each cast member brings a different perspective to the film-making process. One student is making a film about how MS effected her relationship with her mother. Another is making a comedic love story about a man who likes to scare people with a fake spider!

As someone who has worked on a few student projects the pain and frustration of the cast members is true to life. This series really shows that making a film is a GROUP effort, and without a dependable crew your project is dead in the water.

I just had to comment because I love the show and I can't wait for more. I am a film school grad from a one year hands on program and what the students on this show go through are the same obstacles I went through. My film school experience was the best time of my life, challenging, creative, and exhausting. Watching this show brings back so many memories of my experience and it's cool to see others going through the same thing and seeing how they handle the situations. The characters seem real and I love how they all approach things differently and all have different mindsets. I like that the show takes us from preproduction through production. I can't wait to see everyone's final project. Great show, great job. I was hooked from the first episode.
