It’s Madonna, bitch!
On Friday, the queen of pop took a stab at covering one of the princess of pop’s most iconic songs, posting a haunting cover of Britney Spears‘ 2003 hit “Toxic” to social media.
The cover was in honor of World AIDS Day, and came attached with a message to Madonna’s followers to stay active about the cause. “Silence = Death,” the mother of six wrote, adding the hashtag “#poisonparadise.”
It was also a birthday wish to Spears, who turns 36 Saturday. “Happy birthday,” Madonna, 59, wrote on Instagram, tagging Spears.

In the zone-adjusted finals for Sunday, the debut of Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi dramedy The Orville on Fox rose from a 2.3 and 7.3 million viewers to a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and 8.6 million viewers. In the demo, The Orville matched the debuts of NBC’s drama This Is Us and Fox’s comedy The Mick, the highest-rated launches last season (excluding 24: Legacy, which followed the Super Bowl). Like The Orville, midseason entry The Mick too had an NFL lead-in. The Orville…...

It's Britney Spears circa 2003, b**ch.
The "Slumber Party" singer posted a sexy throwback photo on a Sunday, as opposed to a Throwback Thursday or Flashback Friday. (Hey, we don't mind.)

Spears took to Instagram to share a glimpse at her In The Zone-era body -- a throwback shot from that epic topless Mark Rolston photo shoot for the October 2, 2003 issue of Rolling Stone. You know the one.
"My friends sent me this picture today… and it's weird because I just realized it's one of the only pictures I've ever taken upside down!" the 34-year-old captioned the revealing snap.
The racy photo from the same era that brought us "Toxic" isn't such a far cry from Spears' current physique, as she recently told Ryan Seacrest that she is the fittest she's been in "probably 20 years."

This article originally appeared on EW.com.With a title like Glory, you might think Britney Spears fancies herself a blessing from the heavenly pop gods. After all, this is the woman who is adoringly called The Holy Spearit by her fans. But the name of her ninth album also suggests another, less majestic meaning: she's vowing to reclaim her former glory after 2013's widely panned Britney Jean. In search of musical redemption, Spears, 34, hit the studio with rising producers like Mattman & Robin (Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas) and Nick Monson (Lady Gaga’s Artpop), among others. Together, they ditched her...

Britney Spears is in the zone...again. The 34-year-old pop princess is currently reworking her Piece of Me show before it returns Feb. 13 at The Axis auditorium inside Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. To whet fans' appetites, she shared two sexy videos on social media Wednesday that showed herself and a troupe of dancers working out new choreography to "Breathe on Me," a fan favorite from her 2003 album In the Zone; the song was never released as a single. She quoted its lyrics in both video captions, writing, "It's so hot in here…" and "Just put your lips together and blow..." (The latter lyric is a nod to Lauren Bacall's innuendo-filled line from...

Britney Spears reminded us why she is the indisputable Princess of Pop (and has the most covetable abs ever) on Thursday with a throwback photo from her 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour.
Spears posted the sexy photo to Instagram on Thursday with the hashtag #Tbt. In the shot, the "If You Seek Amy" star wears pink-and-black lace lingerie paired with a garter and stockings. It takes some skill to sing and dance in such a skimpy outfit and still look that good. She told her followers the scintillating get-up -- which she wore while performing "Outrageous" off her "In The Zone" album -- is one of her favorite tour outfits to date.
Even though the snapshot was taken nearly 10 years ago, Spears' body looks just as amazing today as it did back then.
The 31-year-old has been working hard to get ready for her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, set to kick off in the fall.

Britney Spears celebrated her 31st birthday yesterday, which means that every single one of us is so old. But guess what isn't old? These five underrated Britney songs that I find myself playing more than any of her singles. Feel free to contribute your favorite B-sides below, but I think this is a pretty divine quintet. I particularly love the last one and it's gurgly weirdness.
(And yes, you can add these tracks to my "9 Acceptable Reasons to Love Britney Spears" list)
"Born to Make You Happy"
To be honest, I didn't know this had a music video until last night, but "Born to Make You Happy" is surely the first under-the-radar Britney track that stands the test of time. It has the hopeful teenage sweetness of "Sometimes," a song that I Love And I Don't Care What You Say, but it's got more firepower in its choruses. Forgive what...

For a combination child star, sibling of Britney Spears and teen mom, Jamie Lynn Spears is way more functional than she has any right to be. In the new issue of Glamour, Jamie Lynn wants everyone to know she’s done a lot of growing up since she had daughter Maddie at 16. Let’s start with a very mature recounting of how she became accidentally pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Oh yes, girl goes there. “I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor,” the former Zoey 101 star reveals. “And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control.” What’s Jamie keeping over there? Oh, she’s keeping it real? Just wanted to make sure.
Now at the cusp of 21, Jamie Lynn is finally easing back into the spotlight,...

Happy 30th Birthday Britney Spears To celebrate the birth of one of the greatest pop stars ever, I have taken it upon myself to choose and rank the 30 Best Britney Spears Songs Of All Time. This is my opus to Brit-Brit and I hope you enjoy it, study it, debate it with friends or family, and leave your own opinions to her Greatest Songs in our comments section. There’s a lot to get to, so let’s kick things off with #30: 30. “Lucky” (link) “Lucky” is the Britney Spears version of telling your doctor about sexual questions you have: “So yeah, a friend of mine… um… Lucky… was wondering if you can get pregnant on a sex swing. My friend.” See, in this song, “Lucky” is the name of a world famous star, who has everything: Money and fame… but no love. I believe this phrasing in the chorus...

It's hard to imagine a time without the ubiquity of Britney Spears, when tabloids didn't dissect her dating life or catch phrases didn't begin with "Oops, I ..." or "I'm not a girl, not yet ..."
The former Mickey Mouse Club child star skyrocketed to international infamy with 1999's "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and instantly iconic music video; an ascent to the pop princess title together with boyfriend Justin Timberlake seemed only inevitable. For a moment, Spears seemed on top of the world -- the most searched person on the internet in 2003 and America's sweetheart. But what a dramatic past 13 years it's been: from impromptu weddings in Vegas to K-Fed, the birth of her two children and her head-shaving, her spectacular, sparkly is-she-nude 2000 Vma performance and her baffling, world-weary showing seven years later, to the Vma Vanguard Award she received this year and subsequent tribute -- we've lived it through it all with Britney.

Moby has described Britney Spears as being "kind of like a broken-down shell of a human being". The musician, who co-wrote and produced 'Early Mornin'' on Spears's 2003 album In The Zone, told The Quietus that the singer's damaged nature is part of her appeal. Talking about musicians who have a sense of entitlement, Moby said: "The worst case scenario is you really like someone's work, then you meet them and they're a self-involved, entitled douchebag." When his interviewer asked if he meant Spears, he responded: "No, Britney's actually kind of like a broken-down shell of a human being, that's what makes her so endearing and compelling. She was lovely, but really broken. Like, Blanche Dubois-style broken. "Actually, the most entitled (more)...

After releasing the country version of her hit "Born This Way" last month, it appears as if Lady Gaga's now gone Bollywood. She's teamed up with famous Indian producers Salim and Sulaiman for a Desi-fied remix of "Btw," which debuted earlier this week. After listening to the re-worked tune, we couldn’t help but create a playlist of other noteworthy Bollywood-influenced tracks/remixes.

In 2003, Britney Spears and Madonna decided to get their dance on together for Spears' lead single off In The Zone. It was a collaboration that came together after the pair locked lips at the VMAs that same year.
"I was in the middle of rehearsals for the VMAs and I played her the song, and she was like, 'That's your first single, right?' " Britney recalled. "I was like, 'Yeah, hopefully.' She was like, 'I really like it.' I was like, 'Really?' I was like, 'Well, you wanna do it with me?' She said, 'Yeah.' "

Fred Durst has insisted that he was telling the truth when he admitted to enjoying a brief fling with Britney Spears in 2003. Speaking to MTV News, the Limp Bizkit frontman revealed that he had been helping Spears with her In The Zone LP when the romance blossomed - a claim that she has always denied. "It just became a fiasco of madness," he said. "[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar. "I (more)...

Britney Spears has arranged a wonderful birthday present for herself: her sixth studio album, Circus, due for release Dec. 2 – the day she turns 27, her label announced Monday. Coming so soon after her triple victory – for video of the year, best female video and best pop video for "Piece of Me" – at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sept. 7, Circus follows up her well-received 2007 album Blackout and continues the upward spiral the sometimes-troubled pop star has been experiencing. The Outsyders, described by Spears's label, Jive records, as an up-and-coming Atlanta production team, have produced the first single from the album, "Womanizer," which will drop Sept.
