Helen: Orlando, what's going...
Orlando: I know you don't believe in fairy tales. But, if you did, I'd want to be your knight in shining armor. You've been through so much. I don't want to see you hurt anymore. Now I may not be able to give you all that your used to. But I do know I can love you past your pain. I don't want you to worry about anything. You just wake up in the morning, that's all you have to do and I'll take it from there. There's one condition. You have to be my wife.

Helen: [upon seeing Orlando staring at her] What?
Orlando: I'm just sittin' here, tryin' to think of a way to say this to you.
[pauses]
Orlando: I'm in love with you.
Helen: How do you know that?
Orlando: I don't know how to explain it to you.
Helen: Try.
Orlando: Helen, if I'm away from you for more than an hour, I can't stop thinking about you. I carry you in my spirit. I pray for you more than I pray for myself. I've got it so bad for you I'd... I'd go to the grocery store and buy your feminine products, I swear I would.
[Helen and Orlando laugh]
Orlando: And see? And that... that... That smile. Helen, when you smile like that, my world... It's all right.
[pauses]
Orlando: I am in love with you.

Orlando: [as he opens the window of his truck to greet Helen] Hey, Brian asked me to pick you up.
Helen: He did, no thanks.
Orlando: Alright but you know the next bus does not come for at least an hour.
Helen: I'll be fine.
Orlando: Why you being so mean, woman?
Helen: Why you being so nice, man?
Orlando: You know, there are still a few of us nice guys around.
[Helen stares]
Orlando: Alright suit yourself.
[thunder crashes]
Orlando: Come on now, this make no scense.
Helen: You will take me straight home?
Orlando: I will take you wherever you want to go just get in the truck.
[helen enters the truck as thunder crashes again]

Helen: [after Charles reveals he's been cheating] You're not leaving.
Charles: No, I'm not leaving but you are. There is a truck outside, full of gas, it can take you anywhere you want to go, I can't keep treating her like this and my children. Not seeing their papa everynight I'm just here and there.
Helen: [voice breaking] Children?
Charles: 2 boys, they need me.
Helen: [starts to cry] Charles, it's me, how could you say this to me, how could you do this to me.
Charles, Brenda: Good bye, Helen now be a lady and leave quietly.
Helen: No.
Charles: No? You would have never had any of this without me, now you better get out before iI loose my temper.
Helen: No!
[trying to grab Helen]
Helen: No, I am not leaving.
Charles: [grabs Helen and drags her to the door] You what, you think you're not going? You're leaving all right.
Helen: [Helen screams try to fight off Charles] No, Charles no, Charles!
Brenda: [witnesses the fight in disbelief]
Charles: [as he successfully brings Helen to the door] Get out!
Helen: [Orlando watches Helen being thrown out of the house] Charles, Charles.
[Charles locks the door]
Helen: Charles!
[Orlando sees Helen as she cries slowly walking down the stairs in disbelief]
Orlando: What the heel have the got me into?
