  • If you have seen the seminal Japanese new wave film "Crazed Fruit", stop here. This is a remake of that film directed by the same director. The difference is that the film is set in Hong Kong with Hong Kong actors. The premise is that a young lady named Judy, played by Eurasian beauty Jenny Hu, becomes close with Xianchun. He is kind of shy. His brother David, who hangs around with other playboys, is intrigued by her. It turns out she is married to an older man, an American Chinese who is a trader, so he's not home all the time. Judy ends up spending time with both brothers. Judy does not tell the decent but kind of naive about love Xiaochun about her husband and David. So, of course, something happens. If you have seen "Crazed Fruit", you'll know. If you haven't, this film is not quite as good, with the exception of two things: It is in color and the alluring Jenny Hu plays the young lady. She has played these femme fatale roles to the hilt and at the time was very popular. So, I do recommend it, as it is well made by the original director but don't expect anything different to happen. Thats all. Enjoy.
