This a must have music for all music lovers! I do not have enough superlative compliments to describe it. Buy it, See it, Hear it and you will cherish it. I have many of their CDs and DVDs, this DVD enriches them. The Eagles put much attentions in making their CDs and DVDs. Their aim for perfection produces great DVDs. The perfect record mixing shows their musical talents (both instrumental and vocal) and rich vocal harmonies. I am glad to have it after having the Hell Freezes Over. It have new materials and new musicians in the "orchestra". You will certainly appreciate it greatly! As with the "Hell Freezes Over", this DVD provides many audio output selections. To fully appreciate it you will need large screen and more importantly high quality speakers (or headphone).
  • This is the very BEST musical DVD that I've ever experienced. There is no doubt that the Eagles have reached their musical peak in their "winter years!" Perfection is the only adjective that I feel is worthy of describing each and every performer on this DVD, from the singers to the musical instruments, all in PERFECT harmony. As is the disappointing case with a lot of other live performances, nothing is lost but only pleasingly embellished. Listening to it with surround sound stereo transported us to the concert! I plan to enjoy it over and over & never tire of it. I also appreciated the support that the Eagles' members gave each other by performing their individual hits, (from the "break-up" years) together. Do yourself a big favor & add this one to your collection.
  • superb vocals, great instrumentation! definite A PLUS MATERIAL! the eagles have been, will be, and are the best there is, was, or ever will be! one thing i noticed and will address is that there's a discrepancy between the audio and video on "Walk Away" and will explain the best i can what may have happened....this show was recorded over a period of nights and they must have taken the best audio and paired it with the best video..so every once in a while you'll see something happen but won't hear it or will hear something but won't see it happen. because audio and video are recorded separately for these live projects this is most likely what happened.

Outstanding production. As others have noted, they've never sounded better. Good to see that Walsh has himself straightened away.

Walmart is moving this for Christmas at under $10, with three new songs on a CD over-wrapped on the original packaging. Doubt you'll ever get it cheaper.

30 tracks on two DVDs. Both 2.0 and 5.1 sound included. 16x9 video.

Unlike a lot of live concerts, the audience adds to, rather than detracting from, the experience. Also unlike a lot of live material, this is very well mixed.

Really spectacular. A great stocking stuffer for any rock or country fan.
  • I've been a fan of The Eagles as long as I can remember. I'm so glad I came across this concert on AXS tv. It was phenomenal! I'm definitely looking to purchase the dvd! RIP Glenn Frey, a true musician and performer🎶
  • 3 HOUR CONCERT VIEWED ON AXS TV WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW FROM THE NUMBER OF GUITARS USED IN THE SHOW TO THE SOLO PERFORMANCES EVERYONE HAD . GLENN FRY INTRODUCED BAND PLAYERS BY NAME + WHERE THEY WERE BORN . SOUND + LASER BEAMS WITH VIDEO BACKGROUND PERFECT
  • Guys this DVD is the concert as I saw it in Melbourne. Seen many DVD's and Concerts. Nothing even comes close to this concert. I actually saw KISS in concert at VFL Park in Melbournes outer suburbs in 1980. That KISS Concert was Awesome But the EAGLES FAREWELL 1 was better, and this DVD is that Concert. Buy it you wont regret it. Mate Cant Wait For The Farewell 2 Tour:-) I did not know I was an Eagles Fan. Through work a guy rang me and asked if I wanted Tickets to the Eagles concert that night. "Yeah I'LL have 4" He Says "Mate this is the Eagles. How Many" Stupid Me " Four will do Mate" He says "OKAY THEN!!!!!! pick em up at the box office" We get there and we are 20 Rows, in front, from the stage and here are these 4 dudes singing songs I knew by heart. almost 3hrs and not a bad note or key. Freekin AWESOME
  • This is a superb Concert DVD. The Eagles sound better today then they ever have. Like the old saying " a Fine Wine ages better with time," the Eagles are a more mature, finely crafted band then ever before.

Truly one of the great rock and roll bands of all-time, it is a pleasure to see and hear them perform at a top-rate level. I also appreciate that they have included virtually all of their hits with some new twists including a terrific horn section, but at the same time feature individual hits from their solo careers.

This is a must buy for any rock & roll, easy listening or even country music fan.
  • A simply phenomenal concert. Four incredible musicians at the absolute top of their game with an amazing back up band. Every note is sheer perfection. I've watched it many times and it gets better each time.

This is quite simply one of the finest concert films ever made.

First of all, how many artists have so many hit singles? The Eagles can fill hours with their music and never resort to fillers. This is a soundtrack of the seventies. And they introduce a few new songs, which are also worth hearing.

The music is performed flawlessly. The band is augmented by some very talented performers, including "The Might Horns", who supply whatever sounds are needed.

The four lead singers still have excellent voices. Though they may be performing songs thirty years after first release, they can still hit the notes, and even add another level of meaning.

Finally, the production is excellent. The camera misses nothing. And the camera operators do not draw the viewer's attention away from the group.
  • Wow! What a title. Let me explain. In 2007, I borrowed a DVD of this from my musically-inclined Uncle thinking I just wanted to listen to Hotel California since I saw this version on TV and loved it. I didn't know I would fall in love with this band. And when I say fall in love with this band, I meant fell hard! It was the first time I heard how a band should sound like. The harmonies are perfect, the musical embellishments they add to their old songs to reinvent it made this concert a must see for music lovers.

As a background, I exclusively listened to Rock before discovering this gem. When I watched this, it made me realize that there is more to music than just rock and roll. This made me realize that music is music no matter what genre you enjoy. The Eagles set that bar for me. From then on, I would watch live sets of bands and artists I am interested in and judge them according to their live performances.

Few final words. If you enjoy smooth harmonies, old rockstars showing off their musical talents, reinvented old songs then this concert is for you. The documentary gives these artists humanity.

If you are still not convinced, check these songs in this concert and compare them to their original, studio version and you'll know what I'm talking about:

Hotel California Lying Eyes Heartache Tonight Already Gone New Kid in Town.
  • I am an Eagles fan, but not an Eagles fanatic. I grew up listening to them and enjoy all aspects of their music: vocals, the way they harmonize, lyrics, and in the Ealges Farewell I Tour DVD, their showmanship. They performed a few new songs but most of it is a repeat from their "Hell Freezes Over" DVD, minus their most excellent lead guitarist Don Felder. That was my main disappointment with this DVD. The video on standard DVD and the sound was great. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and I would recommend it to a friend. However, if I had to pick only one, the Hell Freezes Over DVD would be my preference.
