  • Warning: Spoilers
Van Vorst Park is a well made little film with solid performances from Frank Vincent (Goodfellas,Raging Bull)and up and coming film maker and actor Paul Dunleavy(Back to Manhattan). The only thing this movie suffers from is lack of money. It is well written and tightly edited, with direction by Kathy Caciedo. An official selection of the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax,Nova Scotia, Van Vorst Park is a story about 2 wise guy brothers(Tommy and Johnny Decarlo),and what happens when one is murdered and one wants revenge...but as Johnny Decarlo (played by Dunleavy in a solid, believable performance)learns, there is a fine line between revenge and betrayal... Shot almost entirely on location in Jersey City, New Jersey ,Whatever is said in the park, stays in the park... See this film when you can!!!
  • I have not seen this film, but I had the privilege of working with Paul(DeCarlo) in a different industry. This guy can act, he can play any part he wants. I would be on the lookout for Paul in the future. If he's in a film it must be worth watching. He takes his acting and (singing) seriously and he puts his everything into it. I ran into Paul at Costco about a year or so and he told me what he was working on. I had no doubt that he would succeed in his quest so I kept looking for the film on the IMDb site and sure enough, I found it. Just the fact that he got Frank Vincent to appear in his film he should be taken serious. He has great insight and idea's for writing so you can count on the story being a good one that will hold your interest.GO PAULIE !!!!!!!
