Chloe O'Brian: Edgar, what's the new password for the central server?
Edgar Stiles: I'll get you on.
Chloe O'Brian: No, don't get me on, just give me the password so I can access it whenever I want to.
Edgar Stiles: It's not your area anymore.
Chloe O'Brian: What are you talking about? You work for me.
Edgar Stiles: No, I *worked* for you. Worked, with an -ed at the end. Past tense.
Chloe O'Brian: Edgar, I have been reinstated. So quit being territorial, just give me the password!
Edgar Stiles: No!
[Chloe walks over to Curtis]
Chloe O'Brian: Curtis, could you please explain to Edgar that I've been rehired to resume my position as head of com?
Curtis Manning: Things have changed, Chloe. Edgar took over from you, you'll be working for him now.
Chloe O'Brian: You're kidding? Michelle called me in because things were falling apart here under Edgar. Now give me my command or I walk.
Curtis Manning: You have equal authority. Just on paper, it has to look like you work for him.
Chloe O'Brian: Well, I'm not gonna do that. It's a matter of principle.
Curtis Manning: You'll be bumped up to a term 4 analist. That's a 35 % increase in salary, plus bonus.
Chloe O'Brian: Well, I should be getting that anyway, but that's not my point. Edgar works for me.
Curtis Manning: Not today, Chloe.

Michelle Dessler: [Over the phone with Edgar trying to trace the call and Curtis listening in] this is Michelle Dessler: Director of CTU, to whom am I speaking to?
Habib Marwan: This is Habib Marwan, Jack Bauer is alive and in my custody
Michelle Dessler: I'll need to speak to him
Habib Marwan: I'll return him to you unharmed in exchange for Behrooz Araz. I will give you ten minutes to secure clearances with your people
Michelle Dessler: I need more time before I can agree to that
Habib Marwan: Ten minutes, I will call you then with exact details on how the exchange is to proceed
Michelle Dessler: [after Marwan hangs up, to Edgar] did you get a trace?
Edgar Stiles: No
Michelle Dessler: Alright, confirm Marwan's identity off voice and process Behrooz Araz, we may need to move him
Edgar Stiles: Got it
Curtis Manning: Why is Behrooz Araz worth trading for Jack?
Michelle Dessler: [Before walking away] I don't know: have all tactical teams meet me in the situation room

Michelle Dessler: How are you going to handle this?
Curtis Manning: The kid thinks his mother made a deal to protect him: first I have to do is let him think that deal is off
Michelle Dessler: No, we can't use the psychological approach, it's too slow
Curtis Manning: What're you suggesting?
Michelle Dessler: I think his just going to "drag his feet" unless we put some physical pressure on him
Curtis Manning: His just a scared kid, I'm pretty sure his given us everything he knows
Michelle Dessler: You're pretty sure?
Curtis Manning: I'll call Richards

Behrooz Araz: Who's going to protect me?
Curtis Manning: We are: that's why we put trackers on you
Behrooz Araz: You don't think Marwan will find them? He will
Curtis Manning: Hopefully it won't come to that
Behrooz Araz: What does that mean?
Curtis Manning: We're going to have the area sounded. We will protect you
Behrooz Araz: Why would you protect me? I'm nothing to you people, you think I'm a terrorist
Curtis Manning: I don't believe you are
Behrooz Araz: Marwan is going to be there, why don't you just grab him when we get there?
Curtis Manning: His "probably" going to be there: we need you to lead us to him
Behrooz Araz: Oh God
Curtis Manning: It's going to be alright
Behrooz Araz: It's not

Audrey Raines: Have you heard anything on Jack?
Curtis Manning: Yeah, we just got some information couple minutes ago
Audrey Raines: Why didn't you let me know?
Curtis Manning: I'm sorry but things are going pretty fast here. Jack's alive, he is being held by Marwan
Audrey Raines: How did you confirm that?
Curtis Manning: Marwan contacted us
Audrey Raines: He contacted you? Why would he do that?
Curtis Manning: He wants to make a trade, Jack for Behrooz
Audrey Raines: When is that going to happen?
Curtis Manning: We don't know if it is going to happen
Audrey Raines: What'd you mean?
Curtis Manning: If "he" wants to make this trade, that means Behrooz has tactical value. If that's the case we may have to hold onto him, there's a lot of stuff we have to go over before anything happens. I'll keep you posted but right now I have to get in that room with Behrooz alright?

Behrooz Araz: [while in an interrogation room as Tony watches in the monitoring room] how much longer do I have to stay here?
Curtis Manning: These things take time
Behrooz Araz: Where is my mother?
Curtis Manning: She's still in the field
Behrooz Araz: With Jack Bauer? Is she ok?
Curtis Manning: Yeah, she's fine
Curtis Manning: [after grabbing him out of the chair and pushing against the wall] tell me about Habib Marwan
Behrooz Araz: Why are you doing this?
Curtis Manning: [Sitting him back down in the chair] Habib Marwan, your mother gave us a little information: she said you can give us more
Behrooz Araz: You promised me you wouldn't hurt me
Behrooz Araz: [Turns head to face the one way mirror] please get this guy away from me
Curtis Manning: [Telling Behrooz to face him] over here: we're just going to have a little talk
Behrooz Araz: Marwan's the leader, that's all I know. I heard my parents talk about him, that's it

Curtis Manning: [while in an interrogation room] when you said your father spoke to Marwan, was that over the phone? Or did he come to your house?
Behrooz Araz: Both
Curtis Manning: Did you ever speak to Marwan alone? Away from your parents?
Behrooz Araz: No
Curtis Manning: When they would meet preparing for today's attacks, were you in the room?
Behrooz Araz: I told you, they didn't want me in there
