Edit

Summaries

  • Kingfish goes to work for a real estate company. He sells a house to Andy, without informing him that it must be moved because the underlying lot has been condemned to make room for a new highway.

Synopsis

  • The Kingfish (Tim Moore) takes a job with a real estate agent. The boss catches Kingfish asleep inside a rolltop desk and promptly fires him. In order to get his job back Kingfish is told to sell a house without a lot. Kingfish asking how to do it is given a New York yellow pages and told to start with the "A"s. After talking to Mr. Zyzth and being rejected, in walks Andy. He sells the house to Andy (Spencer Williams), who is enraged when he learns the house does not have a lot. In another of the many hilarious scenes in this episode we see Andy walking up to a surveyors scope on a new highway, leaning to look through it, and seeing the house he had just purchased. He asks the surveyor..."Do this road go to the left of that house?" The surveyor shakes his head no. "Do this road go to the right of that house?" Again a no. "Do this road stop just this side of that house?" Andy now knows he has to move the house and is outraged. Trying to pacify Andy, The Kingfish finds a lot, but it's too small. In the end Amos (Alvin Childress) helps Andy outfox the conniving Kingfish. A very funny episode by two great comedians.
