- Helen is appointed as acting governor. Crystal is on hunger strike to protest her positive drugs test and Charlotte tries to help clear her name. Di continues her pursuit of Josh.
- Crystal Gordan has tested positive for drug use. The new posh inmate, in for cocaine use, insists on a retest. The tests come back and it turns out that there was a mixup. Josh feels sorry that he didn't believe Crystal. Meanwhile, Di, the prison guard, thinks she's on a date with Josh, and Josh tells her he's not even remotely interested. Di goes off the deep end and beats up her old, crippled mother. After the sacking of the old number 1 due to the escape of Shell and Denny, Helen Stewart becomes the new number 1. Helen lets Nikki know, saying that Fenner is going down now. Josh begs Crystal to go back to him and forgive him for not believing that she hadn't taken drugs. They agree to marry again. Di is in trouble for switching up posh's and Crystal's piss tests. Di is written up with a warning. Helen and the psychologist Thomas start becoming chummy. Nikki receives good news! The home office has decided to submit her case to the court of appeals. Nikki and Helen are alone, happy to hear the news, when Thomas walks in. This is the first time that Nikki sees that Helen and Thomas are friendly, though it's unclear where things are heading.
Di, the crazy prison officer, is suspicious about the secret marriage between Crystal and Josh. The two Julies decide to knock her down and tie her up to prevent her from letting the marriage go on. Di gets lose and rushes to mess up the marriage, but it's too late! Josh and Crystal finally have sex -- in the linen cupboard. Yvonne has a surprise for the happy couple: a spectacular fire works display just outside the prison. Looks like Yvonne's daughter is a new inmate. Di seems to be going increasingly psychotic. Fenner gives Di a ride home, and finds Di's mother thrown off her wheel chair.
