  • Bobby and Pam's dreams of a serene and happy future are shattered. The impending loss of Ewing Oil has a desperate J.R. fighting for his life while a smug Jeremy Wendell reveals his plot to him.
  • The Ewings strike a deal w/ the Justice Dept., but what a deal. Ewing Oil must be fully dissolved. 1/3 of Ewing Oil is the fine, which is said to be a/b 600 million bucks. The Ewing Oil building is to be sold and the Ewing Oil name cannot ever be used again. Cliff gets only ~60 million for his 5%, but it is never said how much cash the rest of the family was issued. The buyer of Ewing Oil is actually a subsidiary of West Star. Jeremy Wendell obviously wins the war. Wendell now owns all of Ewing Oil's assets and their building. Jenna has her baby, and as she is headed home Pam is being flown by helicopter to the Dallas Memorial Burn Unit. Pam was relaying to Bobby via cell phone that she had just been told by her OB that new advances will allow her to finally carry a baby to term. She was on her way home to Bobby to "get started" on her pregnancy when some sort of truck pulled out in front of her. She slammed into the side of the diesel, which caused a series of explosions to ensue.
