- Crooked fight promoter Sholto tells Davy he could be a featherweight champ and starts fixing fights so that 'Dynamite' Davy Jones quickly makes a career.
- Sholto, a crooked fight promoter, has his sidekick start an arguement with Davy on the street. The sidekick falls to the ground, pretending that Davy has knocked him out. Sholto then fills Davy's head with dreams of being a boxing champion. Micky, Peter, and Mike disagree with Davy's decision and after seeing some sparring with one of Sholto's crooked boxers they reluctantly agree to Davy's wish.
Sholto arranges a series of fights, all of which Davy wins, and as local fight media attention toward Davy grows, by accident Mike gets a phone call from another of Sholto's boxers who mistakenly thinks Mike is Sholto, and thus discusses throwing his fight with Davy and referencing another fixed fight. Mike thus tells the others that Davy's wins were set up, his opponents all paid to take dives.
A match is set between Davy and a Muhammad Ali-type boxer known only as The Champ. Sholto had planned all along to put Davy in the ring with The Champ, knowing the boxer would pummel Davy and win and Sholto would thus clean up on the bets he made on The Champ to be victorious. Sholto's henchman tries to keep the rest of the guys from attending the match after they figure out Sholto's treachery, but they escape.
Mike, Peter and Micky interfere during the match to keep Davy from being seriously hurt and in the ensuing chaos Sholto's plan is defeated and justice thus served - though Davy still gets a headache from, of all things, a rendition of The National Anthem.
