- Roger Chapman: Listen, there's something I'd like to ask you.
- Louie De Palma: Shoot.
- Roger Chapman: Well, we've heard that certain dispatchers will take advantage of their positions by taking bribes, you know shaking down drivers, that sort of thing. Is there any truth in that?
- Louie De Palma: What's it worth to you to find out?
- Roger Chapman: I think you just answered my question, thank you.
- Roger Chapman: [addressing all the cabbies at the Sunshine Cab Co] We're going to make a movie about cab drivers, and the reason we're here is, we want reality. Not Hollywood reality. We want real, reality. So we want to live with you guys. We want to eat with you and talk with you, and get inside your heads. Why don't you forget we're from Hollywood, and forget we're even making a movie. We're just some people who would like to find out what it's like to drive a cab. Now, anybody have any questions?
- Tony Banta: [raises his arm enthusiastically]
- Roger Chapman: Okay, you.
- Tony Banta: How'd they part the Red Sea in the Ten Commandments?
- Roger Chapman: Hey listen, have you all had breakfast? Because I was just thinking of ordering something for all of us. What do you guys want?
- Roger Chapman: [All the cabbies look at each other in joyful disbelief] C'mon hey, every morning we are here I'm going to bring in whatever you guys ask for. So what will it be?
- Bobby Wheeler: Well... I'll have some coffee.
- Tony Banta: Yeah, and some donuts.
- Roger Chapman: You can have anything! Anything at all!
- Tony Banta: Jelly donuts?
- Roger Chapman: We're going to have a little get-together up at my suite at the plaza tonight about 8:15, and we'd love to have all of you. Also the biggest news, Louie! Come on over here, this involves you too.
- Louie De Palma: If your caterer is missing any silverware, I had nothing to do with it.
