  • John-Boy sent his novel to a publisher and does not hear anything. He travels to New York to get an update. There, he is torn between the city and home.

Synopsis

  • John Boy has finished his novel and he is waiting to hear back from the publisher. After six weeks of waiting he decides travel to New York to meet the publisher himself. He talks the publisher into reading his novel over the week end while he stays in New York. While there he goes to meet Daisy (from an earlier show she was his dance partner in the dance marathon) and she is struggling actress. John Boy falls in love with New York and he wants to move there. He gets his novel published and receives $150.00 in advance money. He travels back to Walton's Mountain where he informs his family that he is going to move to New York because his publisher wants a second novel from him.

    This is the last episode for Richard Thomas as a regular on the series.
