At the 53 minute mark in the film, a stack of puzzle boxes from the Hellraiser series can be seen in the background on a table in the office of the doctor played by Doug Bradley- a reference to the Hellraiser series where he played Pinhead in the first seven installments.
This movie and it's sequel, Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud, were shot back to back.
At the film's premiere Lance Henriksen was so embarrassed by the film that when the director invited him on stage for a Q&A with the audience Lance quietly left the theater without being noticed.
The 2006 release date makes this the second of two movies released in as many years where Doug Bradley played opposite Lance Henriksen, the former would be "Hellraiser: Hellworld". This film is also notable as the last time Bradley would reprise the character, with no one able to play the Hell Priest more than once since.
