In 1855 the Texas Rangers have been fighting a war with the Comanche nation since the first Americans colonized Texas.

Buffalo Hump wages all out war against whites while the Rangers fail to raise the ransom for Captain Scull, prisoner of Mexican bandit Ahumado.

With the Civil War over, the Comanche Wars come to an end-with the illness of Buffalo Hump, and circumstances free Captai Scull from capture.
