Charlene's wedding dress was designed by local firm Isis of Melbourne.
The Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Melbourne's Doncaster area, had been used by director Rod Hardy in 1980 as the venue for Meg Jackson's marriage to Bob Morris in The Tunnel Collapse - Part 1 (1980).
This is a rare example of an episode from the 1980s to feature the entire regular cast. Until the late 2000s, the show operated on a money-saving system where major cast members would appear in three episodes per week, whilst others would be in just two. Episodes that had to feature the entire cast would cause headaches for the production team, as it would limit the number of cast members who could appear in episodes earlier or later in the week.
