Christmas 2022 day 10. Why haven't I watched this before? Ed, Edd and Eddy is one of my favorite cartoons of all time and to not have watched this special feels like a sin to me. It´s so fun and takes me right back to being in love with the show.

Jingle jingle jangle is so good. The story feels done before but it´s just pure fun. There is even a moment that touched me in this, like how? It´s Ed, Edd and Eddy I'm not supposed to do anything but laugh! But this is a new Christmas favorite of mine. It´s fun, it´s well done, and it just hits all the marks of being a good Christmas story.

Eddy finds the presents he´ll receive at Christmas and it turns out his only getting clothes. He plans to get adopted for a day by one of the other kids of the cul-de-sac in order to take their presents. Eddy experiences how the other kids celebrate charismas, while Ed and Edd are trying to teach Eddy what Christmas is actually about.

I love the score of Ed, Edd and Eddy in general but also here. The underlying jazzy vibes always sound great and follows the movie so well. When a frame moves and the music moves with it, is so fun. The new Christmas music is a bit off putting. It sounds nearly off key which might be the point, but it wasn't for me. I also really love the use of fun sound effects witch the show is known for. They are all so fun and really ads a lot to the humor.

I really love how they show the three different eds ways of understanding Christmas. Ed is all about Santa, Edd is about Christmas spirit and Eddy is about presents. They are all important parts of being a kid around Christmas and all relatable. While Eddy seems egoistic in the story, his also relatable since we all hated getting cloths as kids around Christmas.

It´s so fun to see how the different kids celebrate Christmas and this is where the story just kind of runs itself. New kid, new problems, new jokes. It´s simple but works so well. The humor is just me. I love the humor of this show and Ed is my favorite character in terms of the humor.

What I didn't expect was to get touched and moved by this short. There is a scene with a tree that is so well done. No dialogue, no jokes, just spirit. It´s framed so well and executed so well with a great and moving message afterwards. But I love Eddy never really changes here.

This is such a great special and a new favorite of mine. The short is simple but fun and done so well. The humor is good and the message towards the end is done so well and moving. I will forever love this show and this special just shows me Danny Antonucci knows how to create great stories from nearly nothing.
  • The ending is horrible. Ed and Edd didn't deserve what they got in the end. The beginning is also very slow paced and the story doesn't kick in for about five minutes. Other than that- and this is a controversial opinion- I liked this better than 'Fa, La, La, La, Ed'. Although 'Fa, La, La, La, Ed' did show that for all of Edd's kindness he still went along with Eddy's scams. By the time Christmas actually arrived, Edd has matured much more and at one point actually tries to stop Eddy from, so to speak, stealing the neighborhood's Christmas. The special has some great gags. My favourite has to be Jonny pretending to be Jack Frost and biting Eddy's nose. The special did the impossible and fleshed out Marie Kanker. Marie had the least development of the sisters, although the fact that her crush is the complete opposite of her is intriguing. I guess she was never that developed because she says what she's thinking all the time, and when she does talk she does so to insult her sisters. This special has moments where she doesn't talk, and her reactions to everything she and the other two see on her journey make her rounded, more human. There's her mesmerised expressions when she's following the star. She looks like she's having a profound spiritual moment. This is the first episode to be digitally coloured and it is beautiful. Stunning palettes with a mixture of warm and cool colours that are really pleasing to the eye. It looks like no other Cartoon Network show.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Know this is after Christmas, consider this a very late Christmas gift. First review on an Ed, Edd, N Eddy episode, The Christmas special, "Jingle Jingle Jangle." The show itself is funny, has a cool animation style and is filled with fun characters with their own personalities. The Christmas special is about Eddy, unsatisfied with getting clothes for Christmas, going to other kid's houses to get good presents. The Kankers follow a light and the other Edds try to teach Eddy a lesson.

The animation is really fun and great. Whether it's in the slapstick comedy or the backgrounds, it includes the houses of Johnny, Rolf, Nazz and Jimmy on how they celebrate Christmas. Speaking of the houses between these characters, the plot is great; whether it's Eddy going to the different houses or the Kankers acting like the 3 Wise men and collecting things. The humor normal for the show is hilarious with its slapstick humor and dialogue.

The characters here are great (or at least in character), and serve their roles well. Includes Eddy being greedy even after doing something good, Edd acting like an angel who wants to help, Ed being a hilarious idiot. The Christmas traditions of Johnny having the insides of his house made out of ice, Rolf's house filled with meat, Nazz's house being like a normal Christmas house (tree, presents and table), Jimmy's house being full of baked sweets including a gingerbread village. Them (except for Rolf who Eddy just left) understandably kicking Eddy out when he messes up. All the kids I talked above also including Sarah and Kevin being happy about the Christmas tree being lit by Eddy.

The problems include: all 3 Edds (even if Eddy is the only one who did any wrong) locked with the Kankers who "do things to them" at the end; more of the show's issue than the special itself. Also even after Eddy lit up the tree, he was still greedy and took everyone's presents. It's understandable for his character, but the special wouldn't change much if he stops his selfishness. The biggest flaw is it only got really great towards the second half.

Overall Ed, Edd, N Eddy's "Jingle, Jingle Jangle'' is a fun Christmas special that stays true to the show. Shows cool traditions of different characters, an interesting plot of Eddy looking for good presents, hilarious humor like the slapstick humor and even getting heartwarming, with the tree being lit and Santa dropping presents to all the kids. This gets a 9/10. Also I hoped you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    Awful
I've watched over 100 cartoons during this holiday season, and this is the worst of the bunch. Complete nonsense, vile characters, and nothing resembling humor. I'll give the poor animation a break, as perhaps they are going for "that look", but a story has to have likable characters at a minimum. Most have decent dialogue or humor as well. This episode has neither of those three elements.

This is the first, and I hope the last episode of this series I've seen, but I doubt that a familiarity with the characters would help one appreciate this at all.

The other people who voted for this must be the parents of the creators.
