This is a powerful documentary about Orson Wells's life - both his professional career and his personal life.

It pulls away very quickly from the more familiar side of Wells's films, with only a short mentioning of "Kane" and others. Instead we learn about the features Wells didn't finish. And there are many. We also get to know the only woman he truly loved, and get a glimpse into their relationship.

There are interviews with known figures such as Spielberg and Bogdanovich, a lot of unseen footage from his unfinished films and personal home videos. There are also two hidden secrets about Wells's heritage and family I will not reveal here.

This is an interesting film about a man who never gave up, even when he didn't stand a chance. A true hero.
