“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” A relevant quote, perhaps, as CD Projekt Red releases The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts Of Stone as the first expansion to their ‘Game of the Year’ candidate. If you’re anything like me then getting out of the clutches of the original game was enough of a problem that it would scarcely have taken much to drag you back in at all…
At no stage since The Witcher 3 released have I gone more than about five days without playing it at least once. The game was truly remarkable and – to this point – has continued to surprise and amaze me with just how much content remains to be found, even hundreds of hours after I first re-took control of Geralt of Rivia. No surprise, then, that the opportunity to dive back in for a brand new story expansion...

The first paid Dlc for The Witcher 3 has been announced, taking Geralt into the Redanian city of Oxenfurt on a contract from the mysterious Gaunter O’Dim. You may know O’Dim better by his alias, ‘Man of Glass’, or the guy who you meet in the tavern near the beginning of Witcher 3 who reveals to know an awful lot about Geralt before suddenly disappearing.
A trailer and a slew of information has been released for the highly-anticipated expansion, which promises around 10 hours of extra adventuring for Geralt. Judging by the trailer, it looks like Geralt undertakes the main quest under duress, as we see him being dragged along the ground with his hands tied with rope; this makes you wonder whether a) wouldn’t it have been easier for everyone to have chucked Geralt onto a horse instead of dragging him, and b) what is old Gaunter up to?...

Despite announcing several free Dlc packs for the game, CD Projekt Red isn't shunning Dlc passes...
Although there are reports that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have over 200 hours of gameplay out of the box, with one of the largest worlds ever seen in an RPG so far, it's been confirmed there's even more content for the game, if you buy the expansions.
CD Projekt Red became quite the champion for gamers tired of endless additional costs attached to new releases when it revealed its stance on Dlc, offering a slew of free additions to The Witcher 3. However, along with this generous, anti-dlc offer the developer isn't shying away from extra revenue, and has also announced a premium expansion pass, with two large-scale additions.
The deal will grant access to two large expansions, Hearts Of Stone, and Blood And Wine. These expansions will add a further 30+ hours. The former...

One thing that is immediately clear about The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is the threequel’s gargantuan size. Taking place across a rich fantasy landscape, early reports have suggested that the realm will boast close to 200 hours of content when factoring in additional side-quests and the like. But what happens when the most passionate players burn through everything the game has to offer?
Well, CD Projekt Red has answered that question today by unveiling two appropriately “massive” expansions for Wild Hunt in the form of Hearts of Stone along with Blood and Wine. The former of which will be released in October of 2015 and center on Geralt’s journey into No Man’s Land to complete a quest given to him by the mysterious Man of Glass. That’s not the only post-launch adventure for the White Wolf, however, as Blood and Wine – slated for early 2016 – will send our grizzled...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already poised to be a massive RPG adventure, but that's not stopping developers CD Projekt Red from announcing two upcoming expansions that will bring 10-20 hours of new content...each. Come inside to learn more.
I'll admit that hearing details on upcoming Dlc story-expansions to a game that's not out yet (and been delayed a couple times), is a little odd. Even so, today's news is still pretty awesome for fans of the franchise and gaming in general. It's not uncommon these days for games to get some form of Dlc after release, but the best kind are those that add to the story and adventure. Even with those, you normally get about 2-4 hours of extra (albeit fun) content, but that's not the case with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's upcoming Dlc expansions.
